Utrecht is the forth largest city in the Netherlands and attracts many tourists each year. The main sight is the Dom tower, standing tall above the city at 112 meters. There are many shopping opportunities, and the canals through the city make it a picturesque place. 4. Ledig Erf - This cozy cafe is located in the museum quarter and makes for a great place for a drink after a visit to a museum. Well known and loved by locals.
5. Graaf Floris - In this monumental building at the Vismarkt you will have a chance enjoy your drink in a cozy atmosphere.

Nieuwegein │The Hood of Nieuwegein - a little city in the province of Utrecht, NL
The little city Nieuwegein in the Netherlands is a located in the province of Utrecht. If you've once been to London or Great Britain before, maybe you have the same association than me.
Throughout the city, everywhere such tiny red brick-lined terrace houses - in my opinion that looks like the hood in a London outskirt. Perhaps, it also because the Dutch are quite close to Britain and the red brick-lined building style of the northernmost houses in Germany.
However, for having party and a blast - Nieuwegein is rather not the right place - in case that statement is wrong, then I've not seen the right places there. So, show me some!
In the center of the small city, there are of course several different restaurants and some kind of beer pubs, but for dancing and partying you better should go to downtown Utrecht itself. That's where the life goes on! But, okay, for having calm evenings and BBQ sessions in a private housing area, Nieuwegein is pretty fine!

Booking an apartment in Amsterdam - www.shortstay-apartment.com
So you want to visit Amsterdam? Excellent choice! Now, rather than staying in a dull hotel room or hostel, wouldn't it be a lot more fun having the same comfort that you're used to at home? Prepare your own meals and sleep in whenever you want to and not have to worry about making it on time for breakfast? Have enough space to move? Booking an apartment through any of the websites by Short Stay Group enables you to do just that.
So, how does this work? Once you've chosen the apartment you like and decide to book it, you will be asked to pay a pre-payment first, which is a certain percentage of the total costs, depending on the apartment provider. This payment ensures your booking, after which you will receive an e-mail confirmation from us, as well as the arrival information that contains everything you need for getting to your apartment as soon as possible. Make sure you print out these documents and take them along with you on your journey.
It is important to know that every apartment that we offer belongs to a different apartment provider, each with their own check-in procedure and set of rules. These are all very alike, but with small differences. In this video we will cover the check-in process that applies to both the Boutique Apartment Services and Amsterdam Locations ( providers, which cover most of the apartments that we offer.
There are 3 ways of checking in:
If you're flying into The Netherlands and land at Schiphol airport, you can check-in at the airport itself by going to the Short Stay Group desk, which can be found on the 1st floor opposite Schiphol check-in desk 8. It is open from 9 am till 10 pm.
The second method is by going to the apartment provider office in the centre of Amsterdam, which has the same opening hours. You will find directions on how to get there in your arrival information e-mail.
The 3rd way is by doing a so called Personal check-in, which takes place at the apartment itself. You can arrange one by contacting the check-in desk prior to arrival, after which one of our colleagues will meet you at the apartment.
Note that normal check-in times for all methods are between 2 and 10 pm. If you want to check-in before or after this time there are additional costs attached to it and you have to contact the check-in desk prior to arrival in order to arrange it.
At check-in first you'll be asked to identify yourself by showing your passport, id card or drivers license. You then need to clear the outstanding balance due and security deposit, preferably by credit card. After this you will receive the key, as well as directions to the apartment. Once you leave the apartment at the end of your stay you simply leave the keys on the table inside the apartment and close the door behind you. It's that simple!

Amsterdam Central Station is a historical landmark and an important public transportation hub for finding your way through Amsterdam and the Netherlands. The station has an excellent connection with all sorts of transport such as the train, bus, metro, tram, taxi, or even boat.
The main hall in the station offers regular train lines to other parts of town or to other Dutch cities. The two most common types of trains that you can take are the so called Intercity trains, which stop at the various major cities, and the Sprinter train, which also stops at the smaller towns in between. You can recognize both of these trains by their bright yellow color. A trip to Utrecht only takes about 25 minutes; Rotterdam or The Hague between 40 and 50 minutes. Schiphol Airport is only 15 minutes away. Trains to these locations go every quarter of an hour. However, note that between around 12 at night and 6 in the morning these only go about once an hour.
If you want to travel internationally to Antwerp, Brussels or Paris, you can also take one of the various highspeed trains called Fyra and Thalys. A trip with one of these trains to Paris will take little over 3 hours, almost 2 hours faster than by car.
To find out departure times you can either check the numerous digital information boards or yellow information boards that you can find throughout the station, or you can ask someone at the various ticket information or service points. We can also strongly advise checking departure times on the internet, which you can either do at or The last website will also take into account other means of transport.
The southern exit of the station is the main exit. Here you can enter some of Amsterdam's most important streets, including Damrak, which leads to the famous Dam Square. You'll also find the metro and tram stations on this side. If you exit on the North side you will find the bus station, as well as a boat ferry that enables you to travel to the northern part of town.

The station also has plenty of shops where you can grab something to eat and get a cup of coffee, or buy something interesting to read. In case you want to store your luggage, you can do this at the lockers at the east side of the station, which allow you to store your belongings for up to 72 hours. If this will be your first trip to Amsterdam, also note that the station has Tourist Information points called VVV. Here you can find all sorts of useful information about the city.

The Estates Amelisweerd and Rhijnauwen lie on the east side of Utrecht between Utrecht and Bunnik. Together they are about 300 hectares and consists of forest, meadows, fields and orchards. Among the estates there are eight farms. These companies hold mainly dairy

Wandelen op de Landgoederen van Amelisweerd en Rhijnauwen.
De landgoederen Rhijnauwen en Amelisweerd liggen aan de oostkant van Utrecht, tussen Utrecht en Bunnik in. Ze zijn tezamen ongeveer 300 hectare groot en bestaan uit bos, weide, akkers en boomgaarden. Tot de landgoederen behoren acht landbouwbedrijven. Op deze bedrijven wordt hoofdzakelijk melkvee gehouden.
