Dovre is a municipality in Oppland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Gudbrandsdalen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Dovre. The municipality is bordered on the north by Oppdal municipality, on the east by Folldal, on the south by Sel and Vågå, and on the northwest by Lesja. The highest peak is Snøhetta at a height of 2,286 metres . The municipality of Dovre was created when it was separated from the municipality of Lesja in 1861. The area upper Folldal was transferred from Dovre to Alvdal in 1884.

1. Jotunheimen National Park Jotunheimen
Jotunheimen is a mountainous area of roughly 3,500 km² in southern Norway and is part of the long range known as the Scandinavian Mountains. The 29 highest mountains in Norway are all in Jotunheimen, including the very highest - Galdhøpiggen . Jotunheimen straddles the border between the counties of Oppland and Sogn og Fjordane. Jotunheimen contains Jotunheimen National Park, which was established in 1980 and covers an area of 1,151 km². The Hurrungane mountain range is also inside the national park with the sharpest peaks in Jotunheimen. Adjacent to the national park border is Utladalen Nature Reserve which covers the Utladalen valley and the mountain Falketind, amongst others. Many times have we driven over Dovre mountains, in the heart of Norway, on the way back from different trips. And often have I wished to have brought the drone. This time we did. And the light was amazing! Hope you enjoy!

NORWAY Lillehammer to Geiranger the West Norwegian Fjords

This tour begins in Lillehammer riding the lift along the ski jump, then visits a reconstructed typical Norwegian village before traveling to Geiranger to visit the West Norwegian Fjords. Spectacular scenery at the end of May 2018 when waterfalls were at their peak. We also visit a farm where the Norwegian specialty brown cheese is made from the whey from their goat milk. This video is the first of a series of 2018 Norwegian memories.
