Cape Town Capital of South Africa is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain. Slowly rotating cable cars climb to the mountain’s flat top, from which there are sweeping views of the city, the busy harbor and boats heading for Robben Island, the notorious prison that once held Nelson Mandela, which is now a living museum.

The Road to Fraserburg
Life's more interesting roads are the ones that are but feint lines on modern maps. Fraserburg is a small town in the Karoo. I once took the long road back home from Upington to George - and made sure to drive past places that I had never visited. It was just after rare rainfall and the road was soaked. You don't know whether you will reach your destination when you travel like this - but therein lies the adventure.
