I love winter in Norway, and here are six places to visit in Norway to experience the best winter has to offer here, including reindeer, husky sledding, Northern Lights, a whale safari, sea eagle safari, and horseback riding under the aurora. We had the most amazing hike from Østerbø to Vassbygdi. We stayed a night in a cabin in Østerbø, Aurlandsdalen, before we spent the next day hiking to Vassbygdi, about 18-19km through the most scenic landscape I've ever experienced.

Trollstigen (English: Troll's Ladder) is a mountain road in Rauma, Norway, part of Norwegian National Road 63 connecting Åndalsnes in Rauma and Valldal in Norddal. It is a popular tourist attraction due to its steep incline of 9% and eleven hairpin bends up a steep mountain side. Trollstigen was opened on July 31, 1936, by King Haakon VII after 8 years of construction.

Breathtaking Norwegian Fjords & the famous Flam railway!!

Easter weekend 2015.

From Bergen airport we checked in at the Radisson Blu Royal. We hired a Hertz car and drove from Bergen to Flam (or 'Flom') where we took the famous 'Flamsbana' to Myrdyl taking in some epic mountain scenes and cute snowy villages.

Then we drove the Hardargen Fjord (Hardangerfjord) to see amazing views and a Norwegian ski party in the snow!

I totally recommend visiting Norway! Beautiful and dramatic scenery across the Fjords.

The top activity in Bergen is the Ulriken Cable Car, which takes you to the top of Mount Ulriken, one of the seven mountains surrounding the city of Bergen. There are spectacular views of the harbor and the city center from above.
