Naarden, Netherlands

Naarden was granted its city rights in 1300 and later developed into a fortressed garrison town. The Saint-Vitus church is a gothic basilica built in the 14e/ 15e century. The church came into the hands of the Protestants in 1576. Of great importance are the 16th century painted timber vaults. The Town Hall dates from 1601 and is a good example of Netherlandish Renaissance.

In this video you see some of the best places to visit in Amersfoort. During this weekend trip to Amersfoort in The Netherlands we take you along these sights (in order of appearance):
- Koppelpoort which was part of the old city wall
- a guided city tour with Inge from Amersfoortse Gidsen
- Cafe Juffrouw Jacoba - they served delicious French Toast (Wentelteefjes)
- the saturday market Op de Hof
- Corazon Bakery in the Krommestraat where Tobias tells us that he works there with heart and soul - not to get rich, but happy!
- lots of old cobble streets in Muurhuizen quarter
- a cheese shop Liefde & Ambacht (Love & Craft) where we meet owner Robin, 4th generation cheese monger
- The tower Onze Lieve Vrouwentoren
- Arabic restaurant Habibi
- NH Hotel Amersfoort with breakfast and a view

The next day we go by Tuk-Tuk from #Amersfoort to Paleis Soestdijk which is freezing cold in January but very big fun!

Joure in Friesland, the Netherlands

Joure is a small city in the Netherlands. Approximately 13,000 people live in this city that is located in the south of the province of Friesland.
