Gawsworth is a civil parish and village in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The population of the civil parish as of the 2011 census was 1,705. It is one of the eight ancient parishes of Macclesfield Hundred. Twenty acres of the civil parish were transferred to Macclesfield civil parish in 1936 The country houses Gawsworth Old Hall, Gawsworth New Hall and Gawsworth Old Rectory are in the village. Gawsworth Old Hall is a Grade I listed country house in the village of Gawsworth, Cheshire, England. It is a timber-framed house in the Cheshire black-and-white style. The present house was built between 1480 and 1600, replacing an earlier Norman house. It was probably built as a courtyard house enclosing a quadrangle, but much of it has been demolished, leaving the house with a U-shaped plan. The present hall was owned originally by the Fitton family, and later by the Gerards, and then the Stanhopes. Since the 1930s it has been in the possession of the Richards family. Raymond Richards collected a number of items from other historic buildings and incorporated them into the hall. Notable residents have included Mary Fitton, perhaps the Dark Lady of Shakespeare's sonnets, and Samuel Maggoty...

The Heights of Abraham Cable Car is a gondola lift in the English county of Derbyshire. About 1/3 of a mile long , it links the spa town of Matlock Bath with the Heights of Abraham, a tourist attraction 554 feet above. The line was built by Poma and opened in Spring of 1984. The cable cars were upgraded in 2004, making them larger and more accessible, to 12 x six-seater cabins, which operate in four trains of three cabins each. West Midland Safari and Leisure Park is a safari park located in Bewdley in Worcestershire, England. It was opened under the name of West Midland Safari Park in spring 1973. The park holds over 165 species of exotic animals, among other attractions such as a small theme park. The park contains the largest groups of white lions, cheetahs, hippopotami, and meerkats in the UK, as well as the largest lemur walk-through exhibit. It was also the first park in the UK to have the African big five game animals.The park is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria . The dhole and cheetah enclosures in the drive-through safari are part of a larger heathland Site of Special Scientific Interest which the park is restoring.
