Gopeshwar Mahadev temple in Vrindavan
The Shiva-linga in this important temple was installed by Vajranabha, the great grandson of Krishna, about 4900 years ago. The present temple was built by the Maharaja of Gwallior.
Every morning, from 4 am till noon, thousands of people pour Yamuna water over the linga. There is a deity of Lord Shiva in this temple.
In front of this temple is another temple dedicated to Parvati (Annapurna), the consort of Lord Shiva and the mother of Ganesh.
The biggest festival of the year in this temple is Shiva Ratri, which falls on March 8 in this year.
The gopis worshiped Lord Shiva in Vrindavan, and the Lord is still staying there as Gopeshwar. The gopis, however, prayed that Lord Shiva bless them by giving them Lord Krishna as their husband. There is no harm in worshiping demigods, provided one's aim is to return home, back to Godhead. (Srimad Bhagavatam 4.30.38 purport).
Gopeshwar means Lord Shiva as the controller (Ishvara) of the gopis.
One time Shiva tried to enter into the rasa dance. Because he is a male he was told he could not enter. He then bathed in Maan Sarovara and took the form of a female. When he returned to the rasa dance, Krishna told him to guard the entrance of the rasa dance and that no one would be allowed to enter the rasa-mandala (place of the rasa dance) without his permission.

Dayara Bugyal Trek is a long trek through some of the biggest alpine meadows in the Himalayan lap. Trek to Dayara Bugyal gives an amazing paranomic view of the greater Himalayan range. Situated at an altitude of more than 3048m above sea level, the Dayara trek turns into a perfect ground for a perfect class-A skiing, during the winter. Snow trek till Dayara Bugyal takes you through endless lush green meadows, which run parallel to the gigantic peaks of Garhwal Himalayas. En-route you will hike to an alpine lake near Barnala Bugyal. For height gain, you will hike to a vantage point called Surya Top, the illusory view which you get from here, will include famous peaks of, Kalanag or Black Peak(6387m), Bandar Poonch (6316m), Jaonli(6600m), The Gangotri Massif I II and III, Draupadi Ka Danda, as well as many other unclimbed virgin peaks.
Trek to Duyara Bugyal is through various shades of oaks and rhododendrons that end in the stunning open pasture lands of Dayara Bugyal, followed by Siyari Bugyal, at some distance. Most of the hike is moderate except few sections, where the gradient becomes a bit steep. Snow Trekking at Dayara Bugyal is a trek through parallel ridges of some great Himalayan peaks.
Dayara Bugyal is perhaps one of the most beautiful alpine meadow in India. The meadow stretches out far and wide. The panoramic view of the Himalayas from here is breathtaking. Situated at an elevation of about 3750 m, this vast meadow is second to none in natural beauty. The trek goes through open stretches and dense forest at different places. In winters the meadows are covered with snow & look extremely beautiful.

Travling Ukhimath to Chopta (30KM) by Bus. Time 7AM Everyday from Ukhimath and takes 1hr to Chopta Base Location.
This is the Only Bus for Chopta.
To Come Back to Ukhimath, Bus at 2:30PM from Chopta (Only Bus).
You can Hire a Taxi from 5AM-4PM from ukhimath (400-600Rs)
10AM to 4PM from Chopta.(400-600Rs)
