Driving to Berchtesgaden via Deutsche Alpenstraße
The German Alpine Road (or Deutsche Alpenstrasse) is a 270 mile long stretch of roads snaking along the Austrian border, starting at Lindau and ending at Berchtesgaden - just short of Salzburg. Dreamt up by Hitler in the 1920s and only recently fully completed, it takes in Germany's most spectacular mountainous scenery, ski resorts, castles, and sleepy alpine villages, grazing cows and onion dome churches.

Again I invite you all on a little hike with me to two beautiful waterfalls, called White Traun waterfall (the Traun is a little river, feeded by the white and red Traun) and then the wonderful Waterwall waterfall. Both are easy to hike to and are near the town of Bergen, Chiemgau, Bavaria, at the northern side of the alps.
Zwei wunderschöne und leicht zu erreichende Wasserfälle laden zur Erkundung ein, der Weiße Wand-Wasserfall und der unglaublich schöne wie mystische Wasserwand-Wasserfall. Dessen Gesteinswand ist mit ihren vielen aufeinander gelagerten sichtbaren Schichten auch geologisch äußerst interessant.
