In this episode we take a trip to explore certain areas of the peak district. This is by far my personal favourite episode of the series so far, I think I've managed to capture the vibe perfectly and I had so much fun editing it with new colour grade packs and vintage effects. Hope you enjoy!

A video tour of Bakewell and the peak district national park in Derbyshire

Derbyshire's peak district National Park covers an area of 555 square miles (or 1437 km2) and is set between the cities of Manchester and Sheffield to the North and Stoke on Trent and Derby in the South. It's a country of rolling hills and valleys with some of the most beautiful scenery England has to offer.

The video takes us on a tour starting with Padley Gorge, just outside Sheffield's city limits and then onto Bakewell, with its popular Monday Market. Ten minutes drive takes you to the picture post card village of Ashford on the Water and then onto Monsal head, reputedly the best view in the Peak District and Monsal Dale

The Hope Valley is home to the small village of Castleton and here you will find many of the shops selling jewellery and artefacts made from 'Blue John', mineral stone that was mined in the numerous caves around the village. Just outside Castleton is Mam Tor, scene of the largest landslip in Europe. The video finishes with a visit to the three reservoirs of Lady Bower, Derwent and Howden. It was here that the Dam Busters practiced for the raids on Germany during WW11. From here, a short journey over Snake Pass will bring you to the city of Manchester.

Waterfall Swallet, (Hidden Waterfall) Eyam Derbyshire

A Spin out to the Hidden Waterfall in between Eyam & Foolow in Derbyshire, The Fall is only 30 Mtrs from the Road but many will drive by unaware of it's existence, Went with the scary intention of flying the Drone around in the Basin then up through a small hole in the Canopy, this mission could have gone very wrong very quickly but no risk no reward,

Hope Railway station - Lovely and remote !

This is a short video showing how remote Hope Railway station is. This station is in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire, UK.
As you can see I walk over the footbridge and the path is all overgrown and it brings you into a field full of Lambs !

UK - Two Black 5s on Tin Bath - 1st November 2015

A brace of LMS Stanier Black Fives, 44871 and 45407, make a fine sight on an unseasonably warm November day around Sheffield. Firstly we see the express running a few minutes early (and catching me out) at Grindleford station in the Peak District. The station offers a particularly good scene as it still has its semaphore signals and the original signal box. After a stop at Sheffield we see the train blasting uphill away from Meadowhall, between Blackburn and Concord Park in the north of Sheffield. Finally, the train has to wait for 30 minutes at Stocksmoor, south of Huddersfield, for a Pacer unit to pass so it can enter the single track Thurstonland Tunnel. Both engines experience wheelslip as the evening mist moistens the rails.

Peak District Country Walk Eyam Eyam Moor Stoke Ford Bretton Clough round

Our video is a guided walk in the Peak District. Starting from Eyam, the famous 'Plague Village', we walk over Eyam Moor to Stoke Ford and return via Bretton clough. This is an easy to moderate walk on easy to follow paths and tracks with a couple of steep inclines and declines. Elevation: Approx lowest point 205.80m (675.2ft) approx highest point 406.3m (1333ft) approx total ascent 376m (1234ft).
Approx 5.4 miles allow 3 hours using OS Explorer Map OL24, The Peak District White Peak area. Start point: Eyam car park.

A short look at Sir Richard Arkwright's Cromford Mills, Cromford Derbyshire. A popular tourist and visitor attraction for those interested in history and heritage in general. The outlet owners and workers are friendly and welcoming. I really enjoy my times there.

Cromford Mills is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A World Heritage Site is a landmark or area which is selected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as having cultural, historical, scientific or other form of significance, and is legally protected by international treaties. The sites are judged important to the collective interests of humanity.

Knutsford Station 14/5/18

Join me as we do the line It has to be said I have been putting off doing for a while and this is the line between Chester and Ashley via Northwich, as we had done the stations from Stockport to Hale in January we could skip these out and just do the final 10 stations on this route as well as visiting the once busy but now very forgoetten line between Helsby and Ellesmere Port which see just four trains a day, but weirdly one of the easiest lines to cover and can be covered in under a hour. Enjoy!
