If you are looking for things to do in tokyo when you travel japan then Kichijoji ( 吉祥寺) should definitely be checked out. I spent a day walking around and taking it easy around Kichijoji, starting at 10am, I had Satou Kichijoji black label Wagyu beef cutlet and probably the best coffee I've ever experienced in Kichijoji Tsuru's Original Roast Beans: If you do have a free day and want to get out of hectic Tokyo then this is a good option.

Visit Japan, Aikawa Park, あいかわ公園

Surrounded by beautiful forested mountains, Kenritsu Aikawa Park is a great place for day trips from Tokyo. You can take a picnic and enjoy wandering though the beautifully landscaped gardens.

On the side, I do photography. Non-paying, but thoroughly satisfying. Here is a slideshow I put together from some photos I took this time last year.
The event is a large Shinto festival. Everyone pictured are local community members. They get together once a year and hold this festival. There is a large procession that takes them through a large part of upper Kyoto.
The Shinto shrine is Imamiya Jinja, or Imamiya Shrine.
I do photography work for them. The same festival is being held this weekend as well. I've got quite a bit of stuff on my plate. Haha

I like the music as well. The track is Mind Shift by World Order. The singer is Genki Sudo. He was actually a very popular and very unorthodox MMA FIGHTER. Pretty interesting career change.

It is a natural monument designated by Hadano City.
Height 46 m.
