The annual Queen Liliuokalani Day celebrations at Hilo's Liliuokalani Park has a drop of hundreds of orchids onto the participants which include the Royal Court and groups of halaus performing their Hawaiian hula dances.

Kuliouou Valley Trail hike on the island of Oahu, Hawaii in September 2011.
In this picturesqe hike on Oahu in Hawaii, we saw numerous rare and unsual animals along the way. We saw a racoon peering through the leaves, a leopard sitting in a tree, a bunch of giraffes grazing in the meadows, and a young chimpanzee hiding in the bushes. Most hikers don't see these wild and native Hawaiian animals on Hawaii hikes......but, we did!!!!
