Humpolec is a town in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It is situated south-east of the Czech capital Prague, roughly halfway between Prague and Brno, on the northwestern edge of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . Humpolec was first mentioned in 1178.
