Hyderabad District is a district in the state of Telangana in India that contains a part of the metropolitan area of Hyderabad. It is headed by a district collector who is drawn from the IAS cadre and is appointed by the state government. It is the smallest of all the districts in the state, but has the highest human density. The district is a city district which means that it does not have a district headquarters. Old MCH area, which is central region of Hyderabad city comes under this district. It is a peaceful area in India where Muslims and Hindus live in Harmony and unity.

    Manjira wildlife sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary and reservoir located in Sangareddy district of Telangana State, India. Originally a crocodile sanctuary, today more than 70 species of birds are spotted here and is home for the vulnerable species mugger crocodile. The reservoir, located in the sanctuary, provides drinking water to Hyderabad and Secundarabad.

    Singur Dam also written as Singoor is an irrigation, hydroelectric and drinking water project located in Singooru village near Sangareddy district in Telangana, India. It is a major source of drinking water for Hyderabad city. The Dam is built on the river Manjira. The construction was completed in 1998. Singur reservoir has live storage capacity of 29 Tmcft It is a popular tourist destination. This pipeline scheme is an inter river basin transfer link by feeding Godavari River water to Krishna River basin for Hyderabad city drinking water and subsequent regeneration/sewage flows generated for irrigation purpose. Nearly 10 tmcft water is supplied to Hyderabad city from this reservoir.
