    The Takarazuka Revue is a Japanese all-female musical theater troupe based in Takarazuka, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Women play all roles in lavish, Broadway-style productions of Western-style musicals, and sometimes stories adapted from shōjo manga and Japanese folktales. The company is a division of the Hankyu Railway company; all members of the troupe are employed by the company.

    The Hyogo Performing Arts Center is a performing arts center in the city of Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, next to Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station operated by Hankyu Corporation. The Center was opened in 2005 to mark the ten-year anniversary of the Great Hanshin earthquake which largely devastated Nishinomiya and the surrounding cities.The HPAC produces opera, ballet, theater, orchestral and chamber music performances, and is home to the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra. Architectural design is by Nikken Sekkei with acoustical engineering by Nagata Acoustics. The architectural design received an Architectural Institute of Japan Architectural Design Commendation in 2007.

    The Kobe foreign settlement , also known as the Kobe foreign concession, was a foreign settlement located about 3.5 kilometers east of the Port of Kobe, in the future Chūō-ku of Kobe, Japan. Established based on the Ansei Treaties, it existed from January 1, 1868, to July 16, 1899. The site was located between the Ikuta River to the east, the Koi River to the west, the sea to the south, and the Saigoku Kaidō highway to the north. It had an area of 78,000 tsubo , and was developed based on a logical urban plan. For these reasons, it has been praised as the best-planned foreign settlement in the Orient.
