Jenjarom is a town located in Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Jenjarom has a significant Chinese population, and the town is the site of the Dong Zen Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple and Institute in Sungai Jarom. Though this is predominantly for the Chinese Buddhist population, the non-Chinese community benefits from the tourism it attracts: there were about a quarter of a million visitors in 2004. Jenjarom was one of the New Villages, set up in the 1950s during the Malayan Emergency to segregate the rural Chinese villagers from the Communist insurgents within Malaysia under the Briggs Plan.   • 2. Putra Mosque Putrajaya
    The Putra Mosque is the principal mosque of Putrajaya, Malaysia. Construction of the mosque began in 1997 and was completed two years later. It is located next to the Perdana Putra, which houses the Malaysian Prime Minister's office and man-made Putrajaya Lake. In front of the mosque is a large square with flagpoles flying Malaysian states' flags. The pink-domed Putra Mosque is constructed with rose-tinted granite and consists of three main functional areas – the prayer hall, the Sahn, or courtyard, and various learning facilities and function rooms. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at any one time.
