2. Holy Trinity ColumnOlomouc The Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc, in the Czech Republic is a Baroque monument that was built between 1716 to 1754. The main purpose was to celebrate the Catholic Church and faith, partly caused by feeling of gratitude for ending a plague, which struck Moravia between 1713 and 1715. The column was also understood to be an expression of local patriotism, since all artists and master craftsmen working on this monument were Olomouc citizens, and almost all depicted saints were connected with the city of Olomouc in some way.It is the biggest Baroque sculptural group in the Czech Republic. In 2000 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of the most exceptional examples of the apogee of central European Baroque artistic expression. My latest trip was four days in Prague! There was a lot of Czech puns involved and the city was so beautiful and so cheap! I would definitely recommend it if you're visiting Europe!
Some highlight attractions included: - Old town - Paddling on the river - The castle (slightly overrated but still cool) - Astronomical Clock (everyone says its overrated but actually the amount of detail involved in it and considering it's age it's pretty cool) - Karlovy Lazne Night Club (We didn't really enjoy this, it's packed and full of really drunk tourists but it's kind of a when in Prague thing)

Czech Food Tour in Ostrava! - TBEX PRE-BEX Tour
Jon and I got lucky and a couple spots opened up on the food tour for the TBEX blogger conference. Even better, Jiri was also on the tour with us. There was a camera crew from the national Czech news and they asked Jiri to pick someone to be interviewed. So I was the lucky one and they got some shots of me making my video of the tour and a few minutes of an interview as well.
The food was all great, except the Chicken-Liver Pâté that I'm not a big fan of. Unfortunately that was the one they got me on camera eating, later on one of the bloggers at the conference said her grandmother saw the news and wondered why I didn't like it.
Overall it was a nice food tour, the best dish was the beef and dumplings, the meat was so tender! Thanks Ostrava, TBEX and VisitCZ for everything!
