Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a fascinating city of contrasts -- a unique blend of old and new, ideally situated on a hilly area between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley. In the commercial heart of the city, ultra-modern buildings, hotels, smart restaurants, art galleries and boutiques rub shoulders comfortably with traditional coffee shops and tiny artisans' workshops. Everywhere there is evidence of the city's much older past. Due to the city's modern-day prosperity and temperate climate, almost half of Jordan's population is concentrated in the Amman area. The residential suburbs consist of mainly tree-lined streets and avenues flanked by elegant, almost uniformly white houses in accordance with a municipal law, which states that all buildings must be faced with local stone.

This beautiful Ismaili Indian wedding was documented in Atlanta, GA. 3-day event included many cultural and religious ceremonies and events: Pithi, Sangeet, Nikkah, Khoba Khobi and others.

1st day tearful ceremony took place at Westin Atlanta Perimeter North hotel. 2nd day was at the Occasions Event Hall and 3rd day religious Indian ismaili ceremonies and reception were at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North hotel again.

This museum was originally a Byzantine Church then became the Ottoman imperial mosque. Constantine the Great wanted Constantinople to be the New Rome and this building was important to the medieval Christianity, the eastern Orthodox church, the western Roman Catholic Church and to the Muslims. St. Mark's Basilica in Venice now houses the riches of Hagia Sophia when the crusaders plundered it and took these back to Italy.
