Every year the norwegians in the town of Sandefjord celebrates the summer solstice / midsummer by driving their boats out the town fjord in a huge motorcade and head over to England to rape, murder and pillage ... oh yeah, we don't do that last bit anymore ... much ...
Anyway, they drive/sail out the fjord then disperse and settle down on a small holm, island or beach to drink, barbeque, relax and have fun. There's usually many bonfires on this evening.
This celebration is a big thing here. A town population of 44.000 and the number of boats in this event range from the high hundreds to the low thousands.
