We're confident our travel video guide covered some of the top attractions in Paris along with some suggestions that wouldn't necessarily be found in a tourism guide book including information on festivals, arts, entertainment and dining along with French cuisine. Hello, and welcome to Paris. This week we are exploring the city of love, city of lights and city of art. This video will be showing you the top 50 things to do while you visit Paris.
So we're wrapping things up here. What would be your one tip for visiting Paris? Well, I have recently spent a whole ten days here in summer. I would say that if you really want to visit the art galleries, the museums and all of the main attractions you should probably avoid summer and like either come in the spring or the fall or even winter. Because the lines are insane and sometimes you have to wait like an hour and a half or two hours.
So how about you? What are your final thoughts on Paris? So my finals thoughts is obviously Paris is one of the top cities in the world in terms of attractions. There is going to be garbage, there is going to be lines, there is going to be some areas that are a bit of an eyesore. But there is also a lot of beauty and there is also a lot to do here.

The bagatelle park is a park located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. It is one of the four botanical gardens of the city of Paris. Its magnificent rose garden, which includes some 10,000 roses, waterfalls, peacocks, and its castle are some of the riches that you can discover there.

Head to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts for a look at some of the free current exhibitions. We're here at Park Mount Royal to walk around and head to the lookout point for amazing city views. We chose to stay in the neighborhood of Le Plateau-Mont Royal. On Sunday afternoons you'll find a huge drumming circle on the east end of Mount Royal called Tam Tams. McGill University is one of the most prestigious universities in all of Canada. Poutine, a French Canadian dish, it is basically french fries with gravy and cheese curds on top. For a taste of French charm, wander down the cobbled streets of Old Montreal. Tonight we're at the Cirque du Soleil for a circus performance. The biodome is a popular attraction for families with children. Olympic Stadium is the former home of the Montreal Expos. The botanical gardens are home to beautiful gardens. Bell Center is home to the Montreal Canadiens, one of the most celebrated NHL franchises. There is no better place ot eat smoked meat in Montreal than Schwartz. The Notre Dame Basilica is located in the historic district of Old Montreal. If you enjoy checking out graffiti around Saint Catherine street which is also a shopping district. Eat St. Viateur bagels, which are really famous here in Montreal. A great way to get around the city is by Bixi bike. Montreal's Old Port is worth a wander. 10 Things To Do In Luxembourg City | Top Attractions Travel Guide Travel Video Transcript:
Well, welcome to Luxembourg! The only Grand Duchy in the world. Over the next few days we're going to be exploring the capital of Luxembourg City and this is going to be a little city guide to show you some of the highlights.
Located smack dab in between Germany, France, and Belgium, the little Grand Duchy of Luxembourg can be easy to miss if you're not looking carefully, however, we're of the opinion that this is a beautiful destination that you'll definitely want to make time for. From picturesque neighbourhoods with cream coloured walls, to dazzling views of blue rooftops in the Old Town below, Luxembourg City is a charming destination that you'll want to add to your European itinerary.
So this hear is the Corniche and it is a pedestrian promenade which has been called the most beautiful balcony in all of Europe because it gets some spectacular views of the old town.
So we are now entering the Bock Casemates and apparently this was the old fortification of Luxemborg and it was known as the Gibraltar of the north.
This was once one of the most envied fortresses in all of Europe.
Right now we're visiting the Three Towers which are remnants of an old fortress.
We've been walking around a neighborhood called the Grund which is directly below the city center. And it is really picturesque and without tourists.
So behind me we have Saint Michael's church which is the oldest church in Luxembourg. The first church to be built on this spot dates back to the year 987, however, the church was destroyed, rebuilt, and renovated many times over the centuries.
The Palace houses the Grand Duke's office and during the summer months.
There is no shortage of museums in Luxembourg City, so we took some time to visit the National Museum of Art and History.
We are now looking at the Passerelle which is Luxembourg's very own viaduct.
So we are now standing in William Square which is a really popular spot on Sundays and Wednesdays because local vendors setup shop and they sell all kinds of things from fresh produce, to flowers, street snacks.
So final thoughts of Luxembourg. Alright, to wrap things up here it was a really cool city. It is the type of city that you can explore in just one or two days. A weekend type of destination because a lot of the attractions are nearby one another. And we just found it a very easy city to get around in on foot.
So as a little travel tip if you're planning on being in the city for a few days we really recommend the Luxembourg Card. This is what we used while we were here and it is really good for public transportation across the city. Across the country actually and you also get access to seventy different galleries, museums, historic attractions and it is not that expensive. I mean it depends on whether you get a family or an individual card but we really recommend it because we made a lot of use of it.

LADUREE PATISSERIE (PARIS TRAVEL VLOG) | Eileen Aldis
Before we arrived in Paris I knew I wanted to visit the original Ladurée tea room as I was familiar with its international brand and had tasted the world famous macarons. I'm also a big fan of American writer David Sedaris and had listened to a podcast he did with Rick Steves. Sedaris lived in Paris for about a decade and he said that, during that time, he always liked to take his out of town guests to Ladurée - the original location near the Madeleine - as a special treat. The type of place, he said, where elegant grandmothers go for tea. Let's just say my pearl necklace was not out of place. Since 1862 this tea room has been a place for people to come and enjoy. Marc and I had a wonderful time choosing a pastry from the shelves bursting with colour and more macarons than you could ever wish for. After devouring them all with our eyes, we chose two to share. We also ordered coffee - café crème Ladurée, to be exact - and it was the best coffee I had in Paris. The whole experience was charming and felt quintessentially Parisian. The details of the gold-rimmed, pastel-coloured cups and saucers, the mirrored walls, painted ceilings, and tiny bistro tables were everything I dreamed a visit to this patisserie would be. I would recommend anyone visiting Paris to treat themselves to Laduree. Hopefully you enjoyed peaking inside this Parisian institution and saw a macaron or two that caught your eye.

LA TOUR EIFFEL
La Torre Eiffel (Tour Eiffel, en francés) es una estructura diseñada por el ingeniero francés Gustav Eiffel con ocasión de la Exposición universal de 1889 en París. Se erigió en dos años.
Construida en controversia con los artistas de la época, que la veían como un monstruo de acero, se considera el símbolo indiscutible de Francia y de la ciudad de París en particular, siendo el monumento más visitado del mundo.
Cuando fue construída era el monumento más alto del mundo, 300 metros, (si sumamos la antena de radio que se encuentra en su cúspide, su altura es de 324 metros). Cuando la construyeron, la torre pesaba alrededor de 7.300 t, si bien hoy en día se calcula su peso en más de 10.000 (debido al museo, restaurantes, almacenes y tiendas que alberga). Estaba previsto que la torre alcanzase los 350 m, pero los vecinos se alarmaron por la amenaza de que un edificio tan alto y construido sin apenas piedras pudiera caerse, y se manifestaron, provocando un cambio de planes. Los 24 últimos metros corresponden a una antena de radio que fue añadida mucho después. (Ubicación geográfica 48° 51′ 29.04″ N 02° 17′ 40.1″ E)
Según la temperatura ambiental, la cúspide de la Torre Eiffel puede acercarse o alejarse del suelo unos ocho centímetros, debido a la dilatación térmica del metal que la compone. De acuerdo al sitio oficial del monumento, para alcanzar la cima hay que recorrer 1665 escalones (y no 1792, número que algunos toman por cierto en alusión al año de la instauración de la Primera República Francesa).
El mantenimiento de la torre incluye la aplicación de cincuenta toneladas de pintura, cada cinco años, a efectos de protegerla de la corrosión. En ocasiones, se cambia el color de la pintura (en 2005 la torre mostraba una tonalidad parda). En el primer piso, hay consolas que permiten votar en la elección del futuro color de la estructura. El color original de la torre fue el amarillo, aunque hoy en día no quede nada de él.
Se considera que, aproximadamente, la mitad de las uniones con las que cuenta la estructura (mediante roblones) están realizadas por motivos de seguridad, es decir, que la torre se mantendría en pie aunque fallaran la mitad de las uniones entre sus piezas. Esto garantizó desde el principio la fiabilidad de la Torre, dado a que en el momento de su construcción muchos parisinos tenían miedo de que pudiera caerse originando una catástrofe. Esta torre ha sido visitada por más de 500.000.000 de turistas que la admiran por su belleza y por su forma peculiar.
La estructura comenzó a construirse en 1887 para que sirviera como arco de entrada a la Exposición Universal, una feria mundial organizada para conmemorar el centenario de la Revolución Francesa. La torre se inauguró el 31 de marzo de 1889, y fue abierta al público el 6 de mayo de ese año.
Cerca de doscientos obreros ensamblaron las 18.038 piezas de hierro, usando dos millones y medio de roblones, siguiendo el diseño estructural de Maurice Koechlin.
Debido a la proximidad del río y a la naturaleza del subsuelo sus cimientos tienen, en cada uno de sus cuatro apoyos, una profundidad de unos treinta metros. Cada una de sus cuatro patas descansa sobre ocho gatos hidraúlicos por lo que se puede considerar que en realidad la torre tiene 32 patas.
A diferencia de los rascacielos modernos, la torre, tiene una estructura visible, con sólo dos plataformas intermedias y un mirador superior. A pesar de las inmensas precauciones de Eiffel para con sus operarios (que incluían el uso obligatorio de arneses), uno de ellos falleció durante la instalación de los elevadores.
El ingeniero francés Gustave Eiffel presentó primero su proyecto de torre a los responsables del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, para que se construyera en esta ciudad con motivo de la Exposición Universal de Barcelona (1888); pero a los responsables del ayuntamiento barcelonés les pareció una construcción extraña, y cara, que no encajaría en la ciudad. Prešeren Square is a central meeting spot in the heart of the Old Town, so it made sense to start our tour of Ljubljana here. You’ll find the Franciscan Church of the Annunciation, lots of gelato shops, and the baffling bridge we just mentioned.
As for the reasoning behind the Triple Bridge and the famed dragon bridge, which is guarded by four dragons.
Ljubljana’s Central Market is another spot worth checking out.
We needed to sample some Slovenian food so we went to Allegria.
Sam ordered Zlikrofi (zhlee-krofi), a Slovenian dumpling stuffed with potato + lamb goulash along with Slovenian sausage with cabbage & potatoes.
Ljubljana Castle, which sits on Castle Hill overlooking the city. Built as a medieval fortress in the 11th century, Ljubljana Castle has seen many redesigns and renovations. Climb the Outlook Tower for 360 degree views of the city.
There are departures for cruises down the Ljubljanica. We boarded a cruise directly underneath the Love Lock Bridge, which is actually called Mesarski Most. It was our favourite activity in Ljubljana and it was a super relaxed way to watch the city.
Metelkova is home to the best street art.
One place we really enjoyed was Sarajevo 84, a restaurant specializing in Balkan cuisine. The portions massive & everything we ordered was delicious.
We had a feast featuring: grilled meat with pita and onions, baked beans and sausage, roasted peppers, and a flaky pastry stuffed with cheese. It only came to 23 Euros.
Speaking of galleries and museums, a few you’ll find include: the National Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art, and the National Museum of Slovenia.
We finished off at Tivoli, which is the largest park in Ljubljana.
And that’s it for our time in Ljubljana. Our visit was short, tasty, and relaxing, and we’re really glad we made some time to visit this underrated capital.
