Lakhdenpokhsky District is an administrative district , one of the fifteen in the Republic of Karelia, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the republic. The area of the district is 2,200 square kilometers . Its administrative center is the town of Lakhdenpokhya. As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 14,235, with the population of Lakhdenpokhya accounting for 54.9% of that number.

    Vyborg is a town in, and the administrative center of, Vyborgsky District in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. It lies on the Karelian Isthmus near the head of the Vyborg Bay, 130 km to the northwest of St. Petersburg and 38 km south of Russia's border with Finland, where the Saimaa Canal enters the Gulf of Finland.
