Laufenburg is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Aargau. It is the seat of the district of the same name. On 1 January 2010 the municipality Sulz merged into Laufenburg.It has approximately 2000 inhabitants. On the other side of the Rhine River lies Laufenburg , Germany. The same name is not by accident, as the two used to be the same city. In the early 19th century Napoleon divided the city. Two bridges now link both cities. In 1985, Laufenburg received the Wakker Prize for the development and preservation of its architectural heritage.

1. Aare Gorge Meiringen
The Aare Gorge is a section of the river Aare that carves through a limestone ridge near the town of Meiringen, in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. The gorge is an indirect product of glaciation; 10,000 years ago, just as the Ice Age was coming to an end, torrential runoff water from melting glaciers eroded a deep, narrow chasm through the limestone barrier. Although barely one mile long, this passage is bordered by sheer cliffs up to 165 feet high on either side. The gorge varies in width from some 30 metres at its widest to just 1 metre at its narrowest.The gorge is a popular tourist attraction, many visitors attracted by the nearby Reichenbach Falls, which Sir Arthur Conan Doyle selected as the setting for Sherlock Holmes' murder by Professor Moriarty. STREET VIEW in Weinfelden in SWITZERLAND

Wir starten unseren Rundgang durch Weinfelden in der Schweiz in der Frauenfelderstrasse vor dem Nelson. Anschließend gehen wir vor bis zur Rathausstrasse und dann hinunter bis zur Marktstrasse. Dann gehen wir zurück in die Kirchgasse bis zur alles überragenden Kirche hinauf. Von dort gehen wir wieder hinunter bis zum Felsenplatz unter welchem wir geparkt haben. Man kann dort in einem modernen und geräumigen Parkhaus anderthalb Stunden mitten im Zentrum kostenfrei parken. We walk through the beautiful city of Weinfelden in the North of Switzerland with its monumental church on the hill.

Wir starten unseren Rundgang durch St. Gallen in der Goliathgasse und gehen dann über die Marktgasse direkt auf die Fürstabtei zu. Anschließend gehen wir die wichtigsten Straßen und Plätze der Stadt ab und kehren dann zum Ausgangspunkt zurück.
