The border with most of Warwickshire is Watling Street . Leicestershire takes its name from the city of Leicester located at its centre and administered separately from the rest of the county. The ceremonial county has a total population of just over 1 million , more than half of which lives in 'Greater Leicester' .

He was the President of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts . Attenborough joined the Royal Air Force during World War II and served in the film unit. He went on several bombing raids over Europe and filmed action from the rear gunner's position.
