Lipnice nad Sázavou is a village in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 700 inhabitants. It is where, at the Czech Crown Inn, Czech author Jaroslav Hašek wrote a substantial part of The Good Soldier Švejk before he died in 1923, as he lodged there before buying a house across the street. The inn was later purchased by the author's grandson, Richard Hašek, largely for memorial purposes, and Hašek family keeps it in the same state as it was in the times of their famous ancestor , while the house now hosts an author's memorial museum.     The Moravian Karst is a karst landscape and protected nature reserve to the north of Brno in the eastern part of the Czech Republic, located near the town of Blansko. It encompasses a number of notable geological features, including roughly 1100 caverns and gorges and covers an area of roughly 92 km². Currently, five of the cave systems , Býčí skála Cave and Stránská skála are open for public tours and exploration.
