It was once the Philippines' largest resort, covering 13 hectares and equipped with 530 guest rooms and suites, its own private man-made beach cove, 2 outdoor swimming pools, a 6-hole golf course, and its own marine sanctuary covering 6 hectares that holds over 100 species of fish and corals. Shangri-La's Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu received the “ASEAN Green Hotel Standard” at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2008 held in Bangkok, Thailand, in recognition of its environmentally friendly energy conservation measures. For its 20th anniversary in October 2013, the resort underwent an expansive renovation program over three phases with a new “ocean to shore” concept....

As of 2016, it is the second tallest building in the Philippines. Later at night we head over towards Makati in an area called Poblacion. It's an area of town that in being gentrified and we explore the bar scene and find little dives and a great rooftop bar at the I'm Hotel.

Underrated Beaches in the Philippines near Manila

Explored one of the underrated beaches near Manila - Lobo, Batangas. We were surprised how many activities we can do at this place and it's only 3 hours away from Manila! We stayed in Punta Verde Resort, took the skyway, SLEX and Star toll to IBAAN exit. It was a pretty easy drive and you can even use the WAZE app for the destination.

Rockwell Center in Makati, Philippines is one of the most high end and luxurious cityscapes on the archipelago. Power Plant Mall is the center of this swanky area near Poblacion in Makati and is home to many Filipino Celebrities.

In this video we dine at international restaurants around Rockwell. From cafe's like UCC Coffee to Chinese Cuisine at TuanTuan or even Spanish Tapas at Barcino, Rockwell offers a bunch of International food spots along with Filipino Modern Food at Mesa Filipino Moderne.
