Bataan is a province situated in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines. Its capital is the City of Balanga. The province has an area of 1,372.98 square kilometres (530.11 sq mi),[6] and covers the entire Bataan Peninsula, a rocky extension of the Zambales Mountains jutting out into the South China Sea, enclosing the Manila Bay.

Mt. MARIVELES - TARAK RIDGE - Philippines Tourist Destinations
The highest peak in crater rim of Mt. Mariveles, and thus, its summit, is Pantingan Peak, consequently the highest point in the province of Bataan, and one of the prominent peaks of Central Luzon. Mt. Mariveles is more known for Tarak Ridge, with its scenic, windy rockscape, overlooking Manila Bay.

TRANSIENT PLACE ORION BATAAN REVIEW:
We visited Bataan more than a week ago and we wanted to stay somewhere cheap prior to our stay at Las Casas. We found a place via AirBnB called Transient Place with Pool in Orion and decided to give it a go.
The place reminds us of the private pools that we have here in Laguna. There are two air-conditioned rooms situated on top of the kitchen and entertainment (videoke etc) area. There's a stove and pretty much everything else that you'll need to cook and dine in front of the pool. Speaking of pool, it will cost you an extra 1,500php to have it cleaned and filled up with water. It was something that we didn't opt for since we only wanted to have a place to stay for the night.
The asking price of the place is a steal for what they have on offer. The kitchen for example looks well decorated. There's a treehouse that was unfortunately closed when we tried to check what it got inside but these extras made our overall experience much better than what we originally expected. And oh! There's a friendly dog there as well!
NOTE: We experienced an issue with our camera's firmware that caused the video to look like a skin-smoothening filter is enabled. We worked for hours trying to improve the overall quality but some of the details were sadly permanently lost. Our high quality photos (on our Facebook page) should make up for it though.
