5. Inglis Falls Owen Sound
One of three waterfalls that surround the city of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, Inglis Falls is the largest and most impressive. It is also the most visited.Situated in the heart of the 200-hectare Inglis Falls Conservation Area, Inglis Falls is an 18 metre high cascade, created by the Sydenham River meeting the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. Swimming is prohibited in the entire area but it is possible to hike down to the base of the waterfall. The Conservation Area includes 7.42 km of hiking and mountain bike trails.The Area has 20 species of ferns, a variety of birds and geological potholes. In the late fall, salmon arrive at the river to spawn.The property has been owned by the North Grey Region Conservation Authority, now the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority, since 1960.

Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was a French Jesuit settlement in Wendake, the land of the Wendat, near modern Midland, Ontario, from 1639 to 1649. It was the first European settlement in what is now the province of Ontario. Eight missionaries from Sainte-Marie were martyred, and were canonized by the Catholic Church in 1930. Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1920. A reconstruction of the mission now operates as a living museum. A nearby historic site, Carhagouha, marks the spot where an earlier Récollet missionary to Wendake, Fr. Joseph Le Caron, presided in 1615 over the first Catholic mass conducted in present-day Ontario. Hoggs Falls: Near Flesherton, Ontario, Canada (Winter Snow And Ice)

Hoggs Falls is a small but picturesque waterfall on the Boyne River, near Flesherton, Ontario, Canada. The waterfall has a height of 25 feet with a crest of 45 feet. This is one of many cascades created by the Niagara Escarpment. The Bruce Trail runs adjacent to the river at this point.

This video was taken in January, 2019 during a short warm spell between two frigid air masses.
