Team Marlpool have completed the International 3 Peak 24hour Challenge in 23h 41m on Sunday 21st August 2011, below is some of the details and a short video.

Ben Nevis in Scotland, Fort William (1344m) -- 5 hour allowance
We started climbing Ben Nevis @ 17pm all reached the summit within 5 minutes of each other, this was 7 of us because are dedicated driver wanted to climb Ben. on the way down it started to get dark and 2 out of 7 headed for the minibus ahead of the rest of us, 1 found there way to theminibus and 5 had taken the wrong trail to the Hostel and ended up having to be picked up 15 minutes away from where the minibus was parked.

Ben Nevis to Scafell Pike = 6 hours driving

Scafell Pike in England, Lake District (978m) -- 5 hour allowance
Scafell Pike was a 4am start, so you can imagine this was pitch black, 5 of us started and 2 turned back very early, myself, Adam and Jo carried on and again went off the normal trail, we ended up climbing bits of rock that were virtually vertical, but made fantastic time and returned back to the minibus by 08:00, nn the way down picked up a massive blister on my left heal and could feel this sliding about. On the journey to Snowdon I made the decision to not remove my boots.

Scafell Pike to Snowdon = 4 hours driving

Snowdon in Wales, Llambaris -- 4 hour allowance
We climbed Snowdon from Llambaris where the train starts, the 3 of us Pete, Adam and Jo + 1 Carl who wanted to complete at least 2 mountains, the others were still suffering from Ben Nevis, all 4 of us reached the summit within 5-10 minutes of each other, then the 3 of us made good pace to reach the bottom before the 24 hour deadline. Great challenge but a soon as I removed my boots I was unable to walk, my feet hardened after 2 days and all is now fine.

I have raised £530 towards Action for Children and DHL will be matching this, so £1060 should be the final amount.
