Misawa is a city located in Aomori Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2016, the city had an estimated population of 39,649, and a population density of 331 persons per km². The total area of the city is 119.87 square kilometres . Misawa is the location of a large military base, Misawa Air Base, which is under joint operation of the United States Air Force's 35th Fighter Wing, Naval Air Facility, and Japan Air Self-Defense Force's 3rd Fighter Wing.   • 1. Tanesashi Beach Hachinohe
    The Tanesashi Coast is section of the coastline of the Pacific Ocean located in the southern portion of the city of Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, in the Tōhoku region of northern Japan. It is extends for 12 kilometres from the island of Kabushima south towards the city of Kuji in Iwate Prefecture. The coastline includes both sandy and rocky beaches, but is for the most part an elevated coastal terrace noted for its grassy meadows and scenic views. The coast was nationally designated a Place of Scenic Beauty in 1937. The area was subsequently included within the borders of the Tanesashi Kaigan Hashikamidake Prefectural Natural Park established in 1953.
