The Rasa lagoon, Santiago lagoon and Sete Cidades Lagoon, situated in the wonderful São Miguel Island, are one of the most famous places in the Azores Archipelago.
This is the biggest fresh-water lake in the Azores, situated in the volcanic craters that form the Island, constituted by two lagoons (the Green Lagoon and the Blue Lagoon) that form a wonderful scenery of great natural beauty, one of the symbolic images of the Archipelago, classified as Protected Landscape.
The Lagoon has a maximum profundity of 33 meters and a length of 4,2km, surrounded by greenish agricultural and wild fields, surrounded by beautiful rocky cliffs that offer an unique bucolic beautiful environment.
Situada na ilha de São Miguel, a Lagoa Rasa, a Lagoa de Santiago e a lagoa das Sete Cidades que é o maior lago de água doce do Arquipélago dos Açores, com um comprimento de 4,2 Km e uma profundidade que atinge os 33 metros. Declarada uma das 7 Maravilhas Naturais de Portugal, na categoria de Zonas Aquáticas Não Marinhas, é composta por duas lagoas - a Lagoa Verde e a Lagoa Azul - ligadas entre si e envolvidas por um cenário de cortar a respiração.
