नागौर शब्द की उत्पत्ति नाग दुर्ग से हुई है चौथी शताब्दी के आसपास नागाओं ने यहां पर एक किला बनवाया था जो कच्ची मिट्टी का बना हुआ था जिसे गांव में घर होते हैं उसी तरह का आगे चलकर धीरे-धीरे समय बीतता गया वैसे वैसे इसके अंदर रख रखाव करके और मेंटेनेंस करके जो पक्का बनवा दिया गया लेकिन नागाओं ने जो किला बनवाया था उसी से नागा दुर्ग नाम पड़ा और नागा दुर्ग से नागौर जगह का नाम पड़ा

नागौर किला, राजस्थान II Nagaur Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan II नागौर किले का रहस्य (हिन्दी)
जोधपुर और बीकानेर के बीच में एक छोटा सा शहर है नागौर। यहां का किला अपने आर्किटेक्चर के लिए फेमस है। इसे अहिछत्र पुर किला भी कहते हैं। 4वीं सदी में बना ये रेतीला किला राजपूत-मुगल आर्किटेक्चर की मिसाल है। उस समय नागौर पर मुगलों का राज था। नागौर किले का इतिहास महाभारतकाल से भी जुड़ा हुआ है। पौराणिक मान्यताओं के मुताबिक, अहिछत्रपुर किला अर्जुन द्वारा जीता गया था। जिसे अर्जुन ने अपने गुरू द्रोणाचार्य को भेंट में दिया था। ये किला वास्तु शास्त्र को ध्यान में रखकर डिजाइन किया गया था। इस किले की सीमा 5000 फीट लंबी है। आइये जानते है इसकी कहानी
- इस किले से कई लड़ाइयां लड़ी गई हैं। यह राजस्थान के समतल भूमि पर बना किला है जो अपनी ऊंची दीवारों और विशाल परिसर के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।
- इस किले को अपने खूबसूरत आर्किटेक्चर के लिए ‘आगा खान अवार्ड 2013’ भी मिल चुका है।
- यही नहीं, यहां मौजूद कई इमारतें मुगल शासक शाहजहां और अकबर ने भी बनवाए थे।
इस किले के अंदर खूबसूरत 4 बड़े महल हैं।
जिनमें भक्त सिंह महल, अकबरी महल, दीपक महल और हाडी रानी महल शामिल है। ये महल 17-19वीं सदी के बने हुए हैं। इनकी दीवारों पर खूबसूरत पेंटिंग्स हैं, जो राग-रागिनी, महिलाओं की जीवनशैली, मौसम और पेड़ पौधों को दर्शाती हैं।
हाडी रानी महल की बात करें तो इस महल की दीवारों और छत पर महारानी हाडी रानी के खूबसूरत चित्र बने हैं।
वहीं भक्त सिंह महल में इसके इतिहास से जुडी साजिश शामिल है लेकिन ये भी एक खूबसूरत महल है। ये महल भक्त सिंह को अपने पिता की हत्या करने पर तोहफे में मिला था।
अकबरी महल की बात करें तो इसका खूबसूरत आर्किटेक्चर मुगलों और राजपूतों के स्टाइल में हैं।
वहीं दीपक महल की दीवारों पर खूबसूरत फूलों की डिजाइन हैं और ये महल काफी हवादार है। इसे आबोहवा महल भी कहा जाता है। मुगल गार्डन और फव्वारे इसकी खूबसूरती बढ़ाते हैं।
इस किले में 90 फव्वारे और एक खूबसूरत मुगल गार्डन हैं। इस किले में कई मंदिर और मस्जिद है जिनमे ज्यादातर कृष्ण और गणेश भगवान के मंदिर हैं। यहां 5 गुंबद वाली मस्जिद भी है, जो मुगल शासक अकबर ने बनवाई थी। यहां पर सूफी संत मोइनुद्दीन चिश्ती की एक दरगाह भी है। इसी के साथ ही किले के भीतर राजपूताना शैली में बनी हुई सैनिकों की सुंदर छतरियां भी हैं। इस किले में जाने के लिए 3 द्वार हैं, सिरे पोल, बीच का पोल और कचेरी पोल। मुख्य प्रवेश द्वार लोहे और लकड़ी के नुकीले कीलों से मिलकर बना है जो दुश्मनों और हाथियों के हमलों से बचने के लिए बनाया गया था।
ये राजस्थान का ऐसा किला है जो समतल जमीन पर बना है।

There is a small town between Jodhpur and Bikaner in Nagaur. The fort here is famous for its architecture. It is also called the Ahichatrapur Fort. This sandy fort made in the 4th century is an example of Rajput-Mughal architecture. At that time, Nagaur was ruled by the Mughals. History of Nagaur fort is also associated with Mahabharata period. According to mythological beliefs, Ahichatrapur fort was won by Arjuna. Which Arjun gave to his Guru Dronacharya. This fort was designed by keeping VaastuShastra in mind. The range of this fort is 5000 feet long. Let's know its story
- Many battles have been fought from this fort. It is a fort built on the flat ground of Rajasthan which is famous for its high walls and huge complex.

There is also a 5-domed mosque, which was built by Mughal ruler Akbar. There is also a dargah of Sufi saintMoinuddinChishti. At the same time, there are beautiful umbrellas of soldiers built in Rajputana style within the fort. There are 3 gates to go to this fort, Surrey poles, Beach poles and Kacheri pole. The main entrance is made of iron and wood edges, which were made to avoid the attacks of enemies and elephants.
