We’re traveling through China in search of the BEST Chinese street food and found ourselves in Neijiang, Sichuan, eating and trying delicious street food. In this Chinese Street Food Breakfast Tour VLOG, we travel from Chengdu to visit Neijiang, all in search of the best street food around the world. We wake up bright and early to eat at a local noodle street food breakfast stall and tasted some of the most flavourful and SPICY noodles ever. We then continue to a street food market and find some amazing Sichuan street foods, they were all incredibly delicious, except the last street food. You probably won’t want to try that last street food!

If you’re visiting China as a tourist, we discovered that you really need to get outside of Chengdu or Chongqing and visit some smaller Chinese cities to try their street food and their breakfast street foods. If you come to DEEP back street food markets like this, you can find tons of stuff to eat and take photos of as well. Most of the locals are so friendly!
Chinese street food is so diverse and there are hundreds of street foods to try, so we are on a mission to taste all of them in our Street food tour series as we travel throughout China and the world in search of the best street food around the world.

We are traveling in China on a 6 week food adventure and street food tour through Sichuan, all in search of the best food and to uncover unseen food and unheard of dishes as well as chat with friendly locals.
On this first day of our tour, we travelled from Chengdu, Sichuan, by high speed train to Beijing, to the city of Neijiang and found a lot of street foods. When we arrived, we found ourselves in the old district looking for street foods and found an amazing street market with some hanging noodles, hanging the traditional way, and a lot of other Sichuan ingredients on the street. I asked a couple locals where to eat delicious Neijiang specialty beef noodle soup, and we were pointed to a shop around the corner that had some super spicy noodles made with red braised beef, a lot of chili oil, and a lot of herbs and spices.
If you’re visiting China as a tourist, you really must visit Sichuan and explore the markets and back streets! There really is too much food to try for one lifetime. If you come to a market or back street are with a bit of small cash and an open heart to chat (if you speak a little mandarin!) with local people, you will have a good time, that’s the true China experience. Most people are really friendly!
Chinese cuisine is so diverse and there is so many street foods to try, and I consider myself lucky to live in Chengdu, Sichuan, eating Sichuan food and tasting new street foods al the time. Ting and I get to taste a lot of different Chinese foods whenever we want, and it’s awesome!! I

Street Food - Chinese Street Food - BEST SPICY Street food in China!
In this CHINESE STREET FOOD Tour of Sichuan, we traveled to the SPICIEST Sichuan city to taste and eat the best street food in China. We went to a local BREAKFAST joint and ate some very delicious Chinese Breakfast Baozi and Dumplings, and then travelled through Sichuan by bus to the next city for lunch. Here in Sichuan, this is some of the best street food around the world, and so spicy, this is DEATH level spicy in Zigong! We went to a little street food restaurant for lunch, serving up authentic Chinese recipes that you will fall in love with for sure! The local Sichuan chef’s cooking was incredibly delicious and had an amazing home-cooked style that we would go back for again and again.

This is the second day of our street food tour, after our travels from Chengdu to Neijiang, we took the bus to Zigong. When we arrived, we found a hotel quick and then set out to eat street food! In the evening, we found an ancient village famous for salt production and also famous for its SPICY CHICKEN FEET!!
If you’re traveling through China or even living in China, you really have to explore Sichuan markets and back streets! There is a lifetime worth of food to try and explore. If you visit a market or some street food areas, come with an open mind and come to chat with locals if you have a few words of mandarin. The locals are all so friendly!
Chinese street food and Chinese cuisine is so abundant and diverse that you couldn’t eat it in your whole lifetime. We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to live in Chengdu, Sichuan, eating delicious Sichuan street food and tasting new and enticing street foods almost every day.

How to MAKE IT in CHINA: Tips for Living in China, Part 1 - An Expat's Guide to China
So, you want to know how to make it in China? You want to really adjust and fit in with the local people? Well, let's talk about it!
I've got five tips on how to successfully live and adjust to China.
1. Be open to anything and ready for everything. Keep an open mind. This is China - a country that's only really developed in roughly the past 20 years or so. Think about that - in one generation, China's changed SO MUCH. As a consequence to that, you never know what's gonna happen.
2. Know your place as a foreigner in China. You are only the tiniest bit special...but even then, not really. You'll have some privileges and some opportunities, but you'll also be limited in some ways. Know how the Chinese perceive your job, which determines your social status. Your social status will determine how you're treated and how you're perceived.
3. Use people. You've got to network and use people to get ahead. It's not a nice truth, but it is a truth.
4. Learn Chinese and learn about China. If you don't understand the place around you or the language people speak there, you won't be able to truly fit in.
5. Stay positive and remember where you are. This is China - TIC, baby. This isn't the USA, this isn't Europe, this isn't Canada....it's China. Don't bring your shit over here. Do things the Chinese way. You're coming to China. The food is Chinese food, the rules are Chinese rules, and the standards are Chinese standards. Do things the Chinese way, and you'll be well on your way to living here! :)

Most Beautiful China: Bingling Temple // This is Western China
This is one of the most beautiful places we've visited in China. Gansu province's Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture is the home to one of the most beautiful natural scenes in China. The Yellow River spreads itself out in the Liujiaxia Reservoir. We caught a boat across the reservoir to the Bingling Temple, where there are 183 caves or grottoes with statues and sculptures carved into them. The sandstone cliffs are an attraction enough, but the walk along the elevated catwalk through a gorge while viewing 1000-year-old artwork, makes this place even more special.
Bingling Temple, or Bǐnglíng Sì (炳靈寺) is remote. It can only be reached during summer and fall when the water levels are high enough to take a boat across the Liujiaxia Reservoir. We took a share van from the bus station in Linxia to Lianhua Tai. It may be difficult to find other people to share with, in which case you might have to pay for the whole van yourself. When you arrive in Lianhua Tai, walk down to the reservoir where the boats are parked. Someone will likely approach you. A private boat will cost around 600 RMB, but if you find people to share with, you can probably get it for a lot cheaper. We shared with one other couple and the cost was 150 RMB each. The boat ride, which is very beautiful, takes about a half hour. You'll be dropped off at Bingling Si where you'll have a few hours to wander around before getting back on the boat and heading back. The cost of Bingling Si is 50 RMB. Overall, it's an expensive day, but one that will surely be a highlight of your vacation.

Путешествие по Китаю туда и обратно. Это небольшой видео-отчет нашей поездки в Китай в июне 2016. Рад поделиться с вами частичкой эмоций и настроения от поездки в Поднебесную. Китай встретил нас очень дружелюбно! Я очень давно не видел в одном месте такое количество добрых, простых душой людей. Путешествие началось в Пекине с посещения Бэйхай Парка. Жили в историческом центре Пекина (не самый свежий и современный район - увидеть его можно в моменте прогулки на рикше). Великая Китайская Стена и многое другое не оставили нас без интересных историй, в том числе бесплатные на вход и алкоголь клубы и бары Пекина для иностранцев. Из Пекина последовали на поезде в Сиань (первая столица Китайской империи). Посетили Терракотовую армию из 8000 глиняных воинов. Исторический центр Сианя обнесен стеной протяженностью 12 км, по которой сейчас можно покататься с ветерком на велосипеде. В Сиане живут еще более добродушные люди. И чем глубже ехали в Китай, тем меньше людей знали английский.
Из Сиань полетли самолетом в Шенчжень и оттуда на автобусе в Гонконг. В Гонконге совсем другой мир и другие китайцы. Огромное влияние до сих пор чувтсвуется со стороны Великобритании и США. Двухэтажные автобусы, дешевые двухэтажные трамваи, залив Виктория с прогулочными кораблями. Днем тесноватый, жаркий, но довольно спокойный по восприятию город, ночью — клубный, краснофонарчатый и не менее жаркий)
Наш самолет домой летел из Гуанчжоу, города с теплым климатом и теплым прощанием.

Travel to China and back. This is a small video report of our trip to China in June 2016. I am glad to share with you a part of the emotions and mood of the trip to China. China welcomed us very friendly! I have not seen for a long time in one place so many good, simple people at heart. The journey began with a visit to Beijing Beihai Park. We lived in the historic center of Beijing (not the most recent and modern area - you can see it in the moment of walking in a rickshaw). Great Wall of China and many other places gave us interesting stories, including free entry and drink in Beijing's clubs and bars to foreigners. From Beijing followed the train to Xi'an (the first capital of the Chinese Empire). Not far from Xi'an is located the tomb of the First Emperor and his Terracotta Army from 8000 clay warriors. The historic center of Xian surrounded by a wall 12 km long, on which you can ride now with the breeze on a bike. In Xi'an live more good-natured people. And the more deeply went to China, the less people know English :)
We love China very much!

Today, I'm answering some subscribers' questions about living in China! Today's questions are:
1. Why don't I get an ebike / scooter / moped to ride around? Lots of expats in China have them!
I don't think that personal transportation is really needed in China since public transportation here is so well developed. It's very modern.
2. How can a tourist see the REAL China?
Go to places that aren't in the Lonely Planet guide and are not regularly frequented by foreigners, like Gansu, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Ningxia, Guizhou, Guangxi, etc.
3. Why don't Chinese people like NASCAR?
They're not redneck idiots from Tennessee or wherever NASCAR is from.
4. Does China have an age discrimination against older teachers in China?
Yeah, kind of....unofficially and officially. Most job contracts state that you have to be between 25-45 to work for their company or school. Some will bump that up to 55 - lucky for you older teachers!
5. If I get a job in China, can my partner get a visa to come along with me?
Yes, absolutely - if you're married!
6. Is the air quality in Chengdu good or bad most of the time? What's the air pollution situation in Chengdu?
In the spring and summer, it's good! Pollution's mostly a non-issue. Fall and winter in Chengdu....or China....? It's bad. Yeah.
7. How big is China compared with the USA, geographically?
China's a little big bigger than the USA.
8. Does China's education really hinder innovation?
Yes and no.
9. For someone coming to China for the first time, what is the easiest age group to teach?
It really depends from person to person.
10. Do people stare at me while I vlog in public?
Every single time!!! Hahaha

Welcome to my channel! My name is Austin Guidry, and I make videos and put them on the Internet. I believe I am the third China vlogger, after SerpentZA and Laowhy86, of course - although I have been surpassed in subscribers by quite a few people.
I intended to stay in China for seven months, but stayed for over six years and married a Chinese woman. Well, that wasn't according to plan! Haha why?! Let's talk about that.
My name is Austin Guidry, and I came to China over six years ago in February 2011 to study Chinese and write my senior thesis. I studied history in the USA, and I figured - hey, China's got a long history, plus, my professors seem to like China - let's try it out and see what happens!
You know what, I'll also film some videos and show people what China is like. Should be fun! So I did.
A few months later, I was dropped off in China's remote northwestern Gansu province to be the first-ever (and only, at the time) foreign exchange student at a university in Lanzhou (pron. Lan - Joe). I had a crazy awesome time there, and I HAD TO STAY.
So I did. I started teaching. And I stayed longer. And longer.
Six years later, I'm still here. I've lived in the remote northwest, in a sister city of Beijing called Tianjin, and I now live in Chengdu (pron. Chung Doo).
I love this place, and I want to show people what China's really like. It's not what the media says it is, and I hope you'll join me in this adventure as I try to uncover what's underneath the surface so we can get to the heart of the Middle Kingdom.
