Norton Summit is a town in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, located approximately 12 km east of the city of Adelaide. The town is named after Robert Norton, who arrived in South Australia shortly after its proclamation, and made the first recorded climb in the area in 1836.It is well known for the popular Scenic Hotel, founded in the 1870s, often considered one of the best pubs in Adelaide. Located on the shore of Holdfast Bay in Gulf St Vincent, it has become a tourist destination due to its beach and many attractions, home to several hotels and dozens of restaurants. Glenelg also became infamous for being the site of the Beaumont children disappearance in 1966. Established in 1836, it is the oldest European settlement on mainland South Australia. It was named after Lord Glenelg, a member of British Cabinet and Secretary of State for War and the Colonies. Through Lord Glenelg the name derives from Glenelg, Highland, Scotland. In Scottish Gaelic the name is Gleann Eilg. The name Glenelg is noteworthy for being a palindrome.

#7: Melbourne to Adelaide and Everything in Between (Great Ocean Road Roadtrip - Australia part 1)

In my head, 2 cities and a 5 day road trip was a perfectly reasonable amount to squeeze into one vlog, but unfortunately there was just too much to cram into 5 minutes so here's a 10 minute bumper pack of our first 2 weeks in Aus!

We explored Melbourne, drove the Great Ocean Road in our Campervan and enjoyed the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Highlights include adorable animals (did someone say penguins + koalas?), a snippet from the jazz class I took, several singalongs and a tour of our camper :)

In April we spent two weeks travelling around the Northern Territory in a Campervan. We began our trip at Alice Springs from which we drove around the Red Centre via the Mereenie Loop, before making our way up North to the Top End. From here we visited Kakadu & Litchfield National Parks.

Biking around Adelaide

In South Australia, there are lots of great cycling trails all around the place. From mountain bike trails to leisurely rides through metropolitan Adelaide.

My husband and I took a bike trip starting at Victoria Park. Then, we hit Botanic Gardens and rode along the River Torrens. After that, we passed Bonython Park and ended up at South Terrace.

It was an enjoyable ride. Thank you for watching :)
