At the end of my walk in the old trading center Istanbuls i decided to have lunch at a very famous, historical (1893) meatball (köfteci) Restaurant Meşhur Filibe Köftecisi. I ordered also piyaz the white bean salad. Dress the salad with vinegar and olive oil. You can also taste the fresh yoghurt. Of course there was a basket of fresh crusty Turkish bread on the table.
The famous köfte of Filibe was placed with thinly sliced raw onion, grilled pepper and a spicy, chilly paste. One portion is 6 pieces of Köfte. If you are very hungry, just order 1,5 (birbuçuk) portion. The köfte is made from 100% beef. Filibeli is open every day (except Sunday) from lunchtime to late afternoon. Don't be too late.
