Ammolofoi Beach, Kavala - Greece
Ammolofoi Beach, Kavala
Ammolofoi (pronounced: Am all of ee) beach is the most popular and most beautiful beach of northern Greece.
Located arround 1km from N. Peramos, near Kavala, you will find the 3 km sandy beach of Ammolofoi.
The thin sand combined with the crystal clear and shallow waters of the sea create a magical exotic scenery. This is why thousands of people visit the beach every year, a beach that was awarded with the European Blue Flag since 2006 for its clean waters.
On the beach you will find many beach bars which offer sun beds, umbrellas and parking all for free. You may enjoy your drink, your coffee or your snack watching the endless blue of the Aegean archipelago. When weather conditions allow you can see the Island of Thassos and the mountain of Athos in Halkidiki.
For those of you who like a less crowded beach and more open space there are many untouched beaches especially in the first Ammolofoi.
The beach is seamlessly separated from rocks into three main beaches commonly referred to as first Ammolofoi, second Ammolofoi and third Ammolofoi (from East to West). Between Ammolofoi and N. Peramos Vrasida's peninsula is extended with many small beaches and creeks to swim and to explore.

Lefkas, Greece - Beautiful Beaches, Great Food and Greek Hospitality
Lefkas or Lefkada is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea on the west coast of Greece, connected to the mainland by a long causeway and floating bridge. The principal town of the island and seat of the municipality is Lefkada.
The east coast section of the island has small resorts of Lygia, Nikiana and Perigiali, all north of Nidri, the largest resort on the island. It is set in a sheltered location with views across to Skorpios—formerly owned by Aristotle Onassis, Meganissi and other small islands, as well as the Greek mainland. The main coastal road from Lefkada to Vasiliki runs through the village, although a bypass has now been completed which skirts the village to the west. There are regular car ferries to Kefalonia, Ithaca and Meganissi.
20 kilometres (12 miles) south of Nidri is the resort of Vasiliki, a windsurfing center. There are ferries to Kefalonia and Ithaca from Vasiliki. South of Vasiliki is Cape Lefkada, where the Greek female poet Sappho allegedly leapt to her death from the 30 m high cliffs.
The famous beach of Porto Katsiki is located on Lefkada's west coast. Lefkada was attached to mainland Greece (see above about Homer's Ithaca being Lefkada). The Corinthians dug a trench in the 7th century BC on its isthmus.
The first museum in Europe for Lafcadio Hearn, who was born on the island and is named after it, was inaugurated in Lefkada on July 4, 2014, as Lafcadio Hearn Historical Center. It contains early editions, rare books and Japanese collectibles.

Skyros is located in the center of the Aegean Sea. Skyros island is a place with vivid tradition and special character. Chora is located along the slopes of a hill, offering great view to the Aegean Sea. Walk around the narrow streets of Chora, have a relaxing coffee and explore the Medieval Castle above the town. The most popular beach on the island is Molos, a long crystal coast with many tourist facilities. Around the island, there are equally beautiful places with fewer facilities and totally relaxing atmosphere. Ferry to Skyros Greece departs from the port of Kimi in Evia island, while in summer there is local ferry connection to Skopelos and Alonissos.

”Dimossari” Waterfalls are located near Nidri town. It takes about one hour to walk from the parking place to the end of the canyon and back. In late summer, the waterfalls have a very low flow.
