The west coast bathed by the Caribbean Sea as an uninterrupted series of beaches of fine white sand. The northern city has a museum of the sea called Fokelstone Underwater Park. It organizes underwater explorations of the reef . Take a picnic on Mullins beach . Nearby is St James Church , the oldest church on the island , built in 1660. See also the Portvale candy and Sugar Museum Sir Frank Huston . The historic town of Speightstown offers beautiful white sand beaches and has the best conditions for swimming.
