Portwrinkle is a small coastal village in south-east Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is at the western end of Whitsand Bay five miles south-west of Saltash.Portwinkle was traditionally a fishing village and the old 17th century walls of the pilchard cellars are still standing, although they have been incorporated into housing. The village has a harbour and two beaches are accessible from it. Although the village has no shops, apart from the beach car park cafe, there is a post office in nearby village of Crafthole.

St Michael's Mount is a small tidal island in Mount's Bay, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The island is a civil parish and is linked to the town of Marazion by a man-made causeway of granite setts, passable between mid-tide and low water. The population of this parish in 2011 was 35. It is managed by the National Trust, and the castle and chapel have been the home of the St Aubyn family since approximately 1650. The earliest buildings, on the summit, date to the 12th century.Its Cornish language name—literally, the grey rock in a wood—may represent a folk memory of a time before Mount's Bay was flooded, indicating a description of the mount set in woodland. Remains of trees have been seen at low tides following storms on the beach at Perranuthnoe. Radiocarbon dating established the...

Seaton is a large seaside town, fishing harbour and civil parish in East Devon on the south coast of England. It faces onto Lyme Bay and is historically part of Axmouth (to the east) and Beer (to the west). A sea wall provides access to the mostly shingle beach stretching for about a mile, and a small harbour, located mainly in the Axmouth area.

Seaton sits on the 96-mile (155 km) long Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site, more commonly known as the Jurassic Coast. From here it is possible to visit rock strata dating from three geological periods in a 185 million-year ‘geological walk through time’.

Perranuthnoe Beach

Perranuthnoe beach is located around a mile east of Marazion on the south coast and can be great for views of St.Michael’s Mount on a clear day. Judging on the tide, Perranuthnoe beach can be a large sandy beach when the tide is low however when the tide is in, most of the beach is claimed by the sea.

The beach is very popular with families, walkers and surfers as Perranuthnoe benefits from the great Atlantic swell and has great wave height. A lot of other people use the beach for paddleboarding and swimming too.

•Easy access to the beach via a slipway or steps
•Limited car parking less than a minute away
•Food and drink available at the Beach Bar Cafe.

Perranuthnoe is a very small town and does not benefit from many facilities. It is only a short drive away from Penzance and Marazion where you will find more activities, shops and cafes. Perranuthnoe is a very nice beach to relax on and to spend a day in peace and quiet.

South West Coast Path | SWCP | Tag 11 | Von Falmouth nach Portscatho

Nach einem Ruhetag im Hafenstädtchen Falmouth fahre ich am Morgen mit der Fähre nach St Mawes. Mit einer kleinen Fähre geht es noch ein Stück weiter nach Place. Über recht einfache aber dafür umso schönere Wege und an tollen Stränden vorbei geht es nach Portscatho. Ich fahre mit dem Bus zurück nach St Mawes und genieße den Abend am Hafen.

Sea Shore, Holywell Bay, Cornwall
