Positioned just south of the central Pyrenees, Huesca borders France and the French Departments of Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Hautes-Pyrénées. Within Spain, Huesca's neighboring provinces are Navarre, Zaragoza and Lleida.

  • 1. Ordesa National Park Torla
    Torla-Ordesa is a municipality in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. It is in the northwest of the Sobrarbe region, 100 km from the capital of Huesa, and had 315 inhabitants according to the 2004 census . Torla is in the glacial valley of the River Ara, after the confluence of the valleys of Bujaruelo and Ordesa, assuming that the glacier tongue reached Asin Broto, with more than 30 km in total. The Ara is said to be the only river of any importance in Spain that is not dammed by the human hand throughout the its 70 km course to its confluence with the River Cinca in Ainsa. Torla borders France but lacks a road connection with it, and is a gateway to the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park in the valley of Ordesa, and to Valle de Broto.   • 2. Sierra and Canyons de Guara Natural Park Province Of Huesca
    The Sierra de Guara is a mountain massif in the province of Huesca, the most northerly province in the autonomous community of Aragon, Spain. Its highest point is Tozal de Guara . It lies around 25km northeast of the city of Huesca itself. Much of the massif is now included within the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park which extends 43km from west to east and 25km north to south. The Park includes, in addition to the Sierra de Guara itself, much of the Sierra de Gabardiella in the west and the Sierra de Arangol, Sierra de Balced, Sierra de Sebil and Sierra de Rufás in the east.
