Ramboda is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province. The Wavenden Estate in Ramboda is the birthplace of British Admiral of the Fleet Lord Fisher.The Ramboda Road Tunnel is currently the longest road tunnel in Sri Lanka and is situated on the A5 highway , close to Ramboda falls. It is 225 m long, 7 m wide and 5.6 m high. Construction of the tunnel commenced in 2006 and opened in February 2008. The tunnel cost Rs. 2,000M and was substantially funded by the Japanese Government.     Horton Plains National Park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is covered by montane grassland and cloud forest. This plateau at an altitude of 2,100–2,300 metres is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region. This region was designated a national park in 1988. It is also a popular tourist destination and is situated 8 kilometres from Ohiya, 6 kilometres from the world famous Ohiya Gap/Dondra Watch and 32 kilometres from Nuwara Eliya.
