Svolvaer (Islas Lofoten)

Svolvaer se encuentra en las Islas Lofoten, por encima del Circulo Polar Ártico y tiene alrededor de los 4.500 habitantes. La base económica de estas islas ha sido siempre la pesca del bacalao, pero actualmente el turismo es la actividad mas importante. Esta ciudad es una de las mas importantes de las Islas Lofoten y es punto de partida de la gran cantidad de personas que la visitan, aproximadamente unas 200.000 cada año. En general Lofoten es tierra de marineros, artistas y también escaladores. En verano una de sus principales atracciones es la visita al Trollfjord (Fiordo del Troll).
