Saputara is a small hill station located in Sahyadris or the Western Ghats. Saputara town is part of Dangs district in Gujarat. It is a tourist destination. As per 2011 census of India, the Saputara notified area has a population of 2,968 of which 1,031 are males while 1,937 are females. The literacy rate of Saputara is 87.4%. Thus Saputara has higher literacy rate compared to 75.2% of The Dangs district. The male literacy rate is 89.73% and the female literacy rate is 86.29% in Saputara.
सापुतारा सह्याद्री या पश्चिमी घाट में स्थित एक छोटा पहाड़ी स्टेशन है। सापुतारा शहर गुजरात के डांग्स जिले का हिस्सा है। यह एक पर्यटक गंतव्य है। भारत की 2011 की जनगणना के अनुसार, सापुतारा अधिसूचित क्षेत्र की आबादी 2,968 है, जिसमें से 1,031 पुरुष हैं जबकि 1,937 महिलाएं हैं। सापुतारा की साक्षरता दर 87.4% है। इस प्रकार सपुतारा में डैंग्स जिले के 75.2% की तुलना में उच्च साक्षरता दर है। पुरुष साक्षरता दर 89.73% है और सापुतारा में महिला साक्षरता दर 86.2 9% है।

Day trip to Saputara
Saputara is a lovely place to visit for a day or two. It has lot of things to keep you busy and entertained. There is a lake where boating can be enjoyed. There are also two points to watch sunrise and sunset with a bird eye view of Saputara from top. There is a railway to thrill. Various mountain sports are also available. There are many hotels and resorts to stay and enjoy weekend.
Hill Station - Saputara Gujrat its like Heaven
Saputara is a Hill Station in the Dang District of Gujarat state in India.
This best hill station is perched on a plateau in the Dang forest area of the Sahyadri Range. At an altitude of about 950 m. It has a cool bracing climate, the highest temperature even in the summer do not exceed 28 °C.
Saputara means the 'Abode of Serpents' and a snake image on the banks of the river Sarpagana is worshiped by the Adivasis on festivals like Holi.
Saputara has been developed as a planned hill resort with all the necessary amenities like hotels, parks, swimming pools, boat club, theaters, ropeways and a museum to ensure an enjoyable holiday in the cool of the hill. Saputara is only 80 km. from Nashik. Saputara will soon have its own airport as state government is considering the plan. Maharashtra state border is only 4 km away from Saputara. Excursions from Saputara can be made to the wild life sanctuary in the Mahal Bardipara forest, 60 km. from here and to Gira Waterfalls 52 km away.
Saputara located from mumbai 250km and from pune 288km and from auranagabad 350km a way.

This stunning location is an ideal place to visit for those interested in bird watching. It has been conserved by the Nature Club of Surat.
3.Dutch Cemetery:
This is perfect for those who love historic places with old architecture, it's a beautiful place to visit.
4. Iskcon Temple
This is a must visit for those who love beautiful temples that fill you with peace. It's a very large temple complex that's well worth taking a trip out of the city for.
