At a distance of 13.5 km from Igatpuri and 59 km from Nashik, Vihigaon waterfall is a seasonal waterfalls situated at Vihigaon village in Thane district of Maharashtra. This is one of the best natural waterfalls of Maharashtra and also a popular weekend getaway from Mumbai and Nashik. This place attracts people who are looking for exciting and captivating weekend getaways. Vihigaon is a basic adivasi village. There is no facility for food and accommodation. It's very nice huge fall. 100m height, slippery rocks, waterfall is huge, parking is available, and 300m walk downwards to the fall. The water in the falls gets muddy during heavy rain.

An Evening at Shahapur Fort - Karnataka
Shahapur Fort (built in 950-1150 A.D.) which has seven gates to enter from east and west of Fort. Shahapur Fort is divided into two parts...Eastern and Western Fort. Both forts are built on separate rocky mountains with adjoining walls. Siddalingeshwara Temple and Hajrat Syed Salar Masood Guazi Dargah can also be seen at western route of fort. At the western side base, there is Hathi Baoli (Elephant Tank).
Eastern Fort has many constructions like entrance gates, turrets, mosque, prison and military structures. Most of them are in bad condition.
On Western Fort, only ancient Hanuman Temple and Mandakini Lake are worth seeing. The Tavare kere ( Lotus Lake) beside the Fort is surrounded by hills.
Shahapur fort is one of the largest fort of Karnataka. Unfortunately the fortification and structures on fort are in bad condition. It needs to be protected and preserved.

मुंबईहून रेल्वेने येत असाल तर आसनगाव स्टेशनला उतरून शहापूरच्या बस स्थानकाजवळ जांभे गावात जाणार्‍या प्रवासी गाड्या उभ्या असतात. तसेच शहापूर बस स्थानकातूनही एसटी बस असतात अन्यथा मुंबई-नाशिक महामार्गावरून शहापूर येथे यावे व येथून १५ किमी अंतरावर शहापूर-मुरबाड रोडवर १० किमी गेलयावर शेंद्रूण येथे यावे व येथून जांभे गावाकडे जाणारा रस्ता आहे. तसेच कल्याण-नगरमार्गे मुरबाडवरूनदेखील या ठिकाणी येता येते. एकंदरीत आठवड्याच्या शेवटचे शनिवार व रविवार कुटुंबासोबत पांढर्‍या शुभ्र पाण्याचे शहारे अनुभवायचे असतील तर जांभे धरणाला नक्की भेट द्या.
