Tallmadge is a city in Summit and Portage counties in Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Akron and part of the Akron Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 17,537 at the 2010 census. Tallmadge was founded in 1807 and is the second-oldest city in Summit County, following Hudson, which was founded in 1799.

Akron is the fifth-largest city in the U.S. state of Ohio and is the county seat of Summit County. It is located on the western edge of the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau, about 30 miles south of Cleveland. As of the 2017 Census estimate, the city proper had a total population of 197,846, making it the 119th-largest city in the United States. The Greater Akron area, covering Summit and Portage counties, had an estimated population of 703,505.Co-founded along the Little Cuyahoga River in 1825 by Simon Perkins and Paul Williams, it was chosen as a strategic point at the summit of the developing Ohio and Erie Canal. Mogadore Reservoir (Just outside Akron), Ohio

Mogadore Reservoir flyover in Mogadore, Ohio. Completed in 1939, Mogadore Reservoir is located near Mogadore by Ohio State Route 43 in Portage County and is formed from the damming of the Little Cuyahoga River.

Mogadore Reservoir was originally created to supply additional water to Akron industries downstream but now serves mostly recreational and flood protection purposes.

The Buckeye Trail also passes through Mogadore Reservoir. More information about the Buckeye Trail and maps are available at buckeyetrail.org
