Hello all, Guten Tag!
I went to the South Island of New Zealand in late June for a 2-week road trip with a friend. It was the winter season and the weather was quite cold, especially at night. Temperatures were ranging from 13 to -1 degree. There were days where it rained the entire day. We drove in a loop around the South Island and stopped by many scenic spots from town to town. These are the highlights of my trip. Enjoy!

Scenic Drive to Mt Cook Trip July 2015 - New Zealand
Our trip to Mt Cook from Queenstown. We passed by:
- Kawarau River Look Out
- Gold Field Mining at Cromwell
- Tarras (where the famous Shrek super big sheep once lived)
- Lindis Pass
- Lake Pukaki
And finally arrived at Mt Cook / Aoraki (Hermitage Hotel)
It's supposed to be a 3.5 hours, but because we stopped here and there we almost spent 5 hours driving one way :) And on the way back home it was a dark driving :)
Also few footage from Wakatipu Grill at Hilton, Fergburger, and Flame bar all at Queenstown..
Thank God it was a perfect bright and sunny weather!

After that, we check out Cromwell and get a fruit ice cream at Mrs Jones fruit stall. Returning back to Omarama I fly the DJI spark above the fields of lupins along the Lindis Pass.
