Kanda Village is beautiful and amazing place. People of Kanda village are very shy specially Youngsters but when you talk to them in Garhwali they can speak very fluently.
In Kanda, There are more than 120 Families who are living there!
Animal husbandry and Farming are the main occupation which they adopt for living.

Rishikesh is a city in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River. The river is considered holy, and the city is renowned as a center for studying yoga and meditation. Temples and ashrams (centers for spiritual studies) line the eastern bank around Swarg Ashram, a traffic-free, alcohol-free and vegetarian enclave upstream from Rishikesh town.

1. Neer Garh Waterfall
Neer Gaddu Waterfall is a famous waterfall for small trek. The water flowing from natural rocky cliffs tempts the holidaymakers to take a cool dip in the narrow stream. The trekking to the waterfall is an adventurous activity as it involves walking through the jungle on narrow trails. This is a beautiful waterfall and is extremely refreshing to stand near the waterfall.
This is a two tier waterfall with two bathing pools. There is very small waterfall after 200 m trek from the road where visitors can also take bath in a small pool. Further 1.2 km trek will take you to the bigger and main waterfall which has a large pool.
2. Rajaji National Park
Encompassing the Shivalik mountain ranges, Rajaji National Park is abundantly rich in flora and fauna and proves a great holiday destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts alike. Famous for its wildlife, especially for tigers and elephants, Rajaji National Park has recently received the status of a Tiger Reserve by the Government of India.
3. Jumpin Heights
Jumpin Heights is a completly adventure lover place located in Mohan Chatti near Rishikesh. Famous site among fun and adventure enthusiasts, Jumpin Heights has a fixed platform for Bungee of 83 mtrs over the river Hall, a tributary of river Ganga
4. Kaudiyala
At 380 m high, Kaudiyala is a popular rock climbing destination surrounded by dense forests. It also offers white river rafting tracks, and the sports is organized by the camping facilities around the place.
5. Ram Jhula
Ram Jhula is an iron suspension bridge across the river Ganges, located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north-east from the town Rishikesh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The bridge connects the Sivananda Nagar area of Muni Ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district to Swargashram in Pauri Garhwal district crossing the river from west to east. Built in the year 1986, the bridge is one of the iconic landmarks of Rishikesh.
6. Neelkanth Mahadev Temple
Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Shiva as Neelkanth is his another name. This temple is located around 7km from Swarg Ashram and the route is a 3 hour long walk along a forest path.
7. Triveni Ghat
Situated on the banks of the holy river Ganges, Triveni Ghat, as per its name, is the spot of the confluence of the three sacred rivers- Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. These rivers are considered extraordinarily pious and pure in the Hindu religion and are celebrated by every follower of this faith.
8. The Beatles Ashram
In February 1968, the English rock band the Beatles travelled to Rishikesh in northern India to take part in an advanced Transcendental Meditation (TM) training course at the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The area now features Beatles art and Graffiti
9. Parmath Niketan Ashram
As the largest ashram in Rishikesh with over 1000 rooms, Parmarth Niketan provides a clean, pure and sacred atmosphere as well as abundant, beautiful gardens to thousands of pilgrims, who come from all corners of the Earth. The daily activities at Parmarth Niketan include daily yoga specializing in Vinyasa yoga, general Hatha yoga and yoga Nidra
10. Lakshman Jhula
The Lakshman Jhula is a famous hanging bridge across the river Ganga that connects two villages, Tapovan in the Tehri Garhwal district and Jonk in the Pauri Garhwal district.
