Timisul de Sus a fost denumit in trecut Vama Timis, in prezent este o localitate componenta a orasului Predeal din judetul Brasov, Transilvania, Romania.
Timisul de Sus din punct de vedere geografic, este amplasat intre Masivul Postavarul, Masivul Piatra Mare, si Platforma Predealului, la o altitudine de 800-850m.

Julie's Travel Series - Backpacking Through Romania - Seven Ladders Canyon
Canionul Sapte Scari ( Seven Ladders Canyon ) is located in Piatra Mare Massif , near Brasov city in Romania.
There is a 1 hour hike through the forest until you reach the canyon and cascade but it is worth it for sure.
The narrow path through the rocks has 7 build steel stairs with heights between 2.5 and 15 meters. You don't need special equipment to climb them.

Before we arrived in Brasov, we knew very little about what to see and do. Besides seeing the Black and White towers and ogling the Brasov Hollywood sign, there is sooooo much to see and do in Brasov Romania!
Much like other Medieval fortified cities, Brasov is surrounded by walls, towers and bastillions. Each tower and bastillion is maintained by a skilled trades guild. For example, the Black Tower would be defended by the blacksmiths of Brasov. Such a neat bit of history! If our cities and town did this today, we would have the “grocery clerk’s tower” the “accountant’s bastillion” the “barista’s tower” etc. etc.
Whilst visiting the Black and White Towers, we came across a map with other sites to visit in Brasov. We then decided that we would stay in Brasov for a second partial day, just to see everything we could!

Canionul Șapte Scări - Seven Stairs - Piatra Mare Mountains - Brasov, Romania, June 2017
The Seven Stairs Canyon is a gorge in the Jurassic Limestone on the western side of the Piatra Mare Mountains, in the county of Brasov, Romania.
Access to cascade and canyon is made from Timişul de Jos locality, located about 10 km from Brasov, Romania.
Canyon 7 ladders have a total length of 160 m and a 58 m level difference. It consists of seven steps at different heights that the Seven Stairs broke through and form an impressive array of waterfalls. To pass through the canyon, a total of 7 metal stairs and numerous walkways were arranged. The longest ladder is about 15 m and offers a spectacular view. Canyoning takes about 30 minutes, and in order to avoid injury, you need to have adequate mountain footwear.
The Tiroliana from Canton 7 Ladders has a total of 2.1 kilometers and 23 routes for adults and children, with an inclination between two and four degrees. The shortest of the trails is 47 meters, while the longest is 273 meters.
Tiroliana starts from the canyon, follows the track of the forest road in the area, passes by the cabin and crosses the Seven Scales through several points.
The Tyrolean route is 2174 meters, starting at the base of the canyon to the end of the Sipoaia forest road.The level difference is 300 meters, it departs from the altitude of 995 meters and reaches an altitude of 680 meters. Of 21 segments, the longest is 307 meters, and the shortest 60 meters, with the transport capacity being 60-70. The children will have their own 50-meter tire segments near the bottom hut.
Canyon 7 Ladders, a unique place in Romania dug in Jurassic ironing, is 160 meters long, at an altitude of 995 meters.
