Située tout au sud du pays, dans le département de Potosi, Tupiza est une étape charmante. Elle constitue par ailleurs une porte d'entrée idéale en Bolivie depuis l'Argentine. Créée sur les terres des indiens Chichas, la région doit sa renommée à sa richesse minière. Argent, plomb, cuivre, zinc et antimoine : la diversité des minerais expliquent la beauté des montagnes alentours. Une halte parfaite pour découvrir notamment les formations géologiques suprenantes de la zone.
