Vågsøy is a municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Nordfjord. The municipality's administrative center is the town Måløy. Other population centers in Vågsøy include the villages of Bryggja, Deknepollen, Holvika, Kvalheim, Langeneset, Raudeberg, Refvika, Silda, Tennebø, Totland, Vedvika, and Vågsvåg. The municipality includes the island of Vågsøy, several small surrounding islands, and part of the mainland. 1. Hornelen Bremanger Municipality
Hornelen is a mountain in Bremanger Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The mountain sits on the eastern end of the island of Bremangerlandet, along the Frøysjøen strait, in the Nordfjord region of Norway. At 860 metres , it is the highest sea cliff in Europe, and has for a long time been used as a landmark for naval navigation. It is a 4-hour hike to the summit from Berleneset . The horizontal distance from the summit to the sea is approximately 500 metres . Approximately 1 kilometre to the west of the cliffside is the highest point on the island Bremangerlandet, called Svartevassegga which has an elevation of 889 metres . The rock in Hornelen consists of sandstone of Devonian age, and it constitutes an important part of the geology of Norway.

Bremangerlandet is an island in Bremanger Municipality in the traditional district of Nordfjord in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The 153-square-kilometre island is the largest island in the county. The highest point on the island is the 889-metre tall mountain Svartevassegga, however the cliff at Hornelen, located 1 kilometre to the east, is more well-known and has an elevation of 860 metres . The 4-kilometre long lake Dalevatnet is located in the central part of the island.The island is located northeast of the smaller island of Frøya. Bremangerlandet island lies on the southern side of the mouth of the large Nordfjorden and the island of Vågsøy lies on the north side of the fjord's mouth.
