Walensee, Switzerland
Walensee - a lake located 60km south-west of Zürich. It is situated between two cosy towns Weesen and Walenstadt. A very popular destination for sailing, bathing, and hiking. Surrounding mountains have great skiing slopes, too.

Weesen is a village at the end of Lake Walenstadt in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Due to its sheltered location Weesen has a very mild climate; The annual mean temperature is around 11.3 ° C. Therefore, here thrive plant species such as various palms, figs, lemons and kiwi fruit. On several vineyards good wine is produced, benefiting from the many hours of sunshine and a few ice days. Weesen not reach the almost Mediterranean climate of Quinten, but remembered by his appearance and the Mediterranean atmosphere of a Ticino village.

Die schönsten Ausflugsziele der Schweiz - Murgtal am Walensee
Ich war schon in vielen Ländern dieser Welt aber in der Schweiz, meiner Heimat, habe ich so vieles noch nicht gesehen. Deshalb habe ich mich entschlossen, verschiedene Orte in der Schweiz zu besuchen, welche ich noch nicht kenne oder wo ich schon lange nicht mehr war.
In meiner Filmreihe Die schönsten #Ausflugsziele der #Schweiz zeige ich Euch gerne diese Orte.
Diesmal geht es an einen nicht so bekannten, und somit auch recht ruhigen Ort. Wir fahren von Murg am Walensee hoch, soweit wie man fahren darf. Hier befinden wir uns im #Murgtal . Dies ist der Ausgangspunkt zu vielen schönen Wanderungen wie z.B. zu den Murgseen.
Da wir erst am Nachmittag hier angekommen sind, haben wir uns nur für eine kurze Wanderung den Berg hoch entschieden. Aber auch dies hat sich gelohnt.
Eine Info zu den Parkplätzen:
Es gibt 2 Parkplätze. Bis kurz vor dem ersten ist die Strasse asphaltiert. Danach fährt man auf einer recht gut ausgebauten Schotterstrasse bis zum 2. Parkplatz. Die Parkgebühr muss ziemlich am Anfang der Bergstrasse bezahlt werden. Die Parkuhr ist gut sichtbar bei einem Bauernhof. Die Parkgebühr kostet CHF 10.- pro Tag und die Katze will ebenfalls noch ein paar Streicheleinheiten. :-)

The Paxmal is a Peace Monument, whose basic idea is the peace for everyone. Karl Bickel (1886-1982) created a place of contemplation, meditation on man and his objectives, his life and his company forms. Bickel died with 96 years in 1982 Schrina-Hochrugg. The Paxmal is an exciting place of wonder.
Despite the amount of Walenstadtberg there is anecdotal farms. Alpine pasture high above Lake Walensee. Enjoy the place among the monumental Churfirsten and look down on the deep blue of the lake.
