Cody is a town in northwest Wyoming. The Buffalo Bill Center of the West has 5 museums. These include the Buffalo Bill Museum, tracing William F. Cody’s life with multimedia displays, and the Draper Natural History Museum, with wildlife exhibits. Nearby, Old Trail Town is a re-created frontier town with 1800s log cabins and a saloon. Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway winds past craggy cliffs to Yellowstone National Park East Entrance.

Here it is, my first video! What a better way to start this channel and this series with a video that showcases one of the most beautiful places in the world: Wyoming, and Montana (USA). This video takes you through the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway. The byway connects Cody (WY) with the Beartooth Highway and the Northeast Gate of Yellowstone National Park.
The journey starts in the All-American city Powell (WY), going through Cody (WY), the Dead Indian Pass, Beartooth Mountains, taking a detour to Cooke City (MT), and finishes in Red Lodge (MT).
You can also see a couple of my favorite places in the area like the Pat O'Hara Brewing Company in Cody (#1 Irish Bar in Wyoming) and Carbon County Steakhouse in Red Lodge.

Laramie Plains Lakes Campgrounds 15 miles west of Laramie Wyoming are a series of small fresh water fishing lakes popular for excellent trout fly fishing. A couple of campgrounds/ camping areas are located along and near the shores of the various lakes include Lake Hattie and Twin Buttes. Access to these lakes is via graded gravel roads from either Snowy Range Road on the northside or WY 230 on the southside. Camping is free and on a first come first served basis. Fishing licenses are required to fish. There are boat ramps at each lake allowing for larger motorized watercraft.
Located in wide open plains this area is susceptible to strong sustained winds any time of year.
Camping areas are normally in the gravel/ dirt lots adjacent the lake, launch ramp and pit toilets. This BLM managed property is a better choice for travelers looking for a free boondocking alternative to the Walmart in town.

29/34 Today was a big day. We awoke and chilled with beautiful huskies at our AirBnB. Then we drove into Yellowstone National Park. We drove to the Grand Teton National Park and took the Jenny Lake water taxi. There we climbed to Cascade Falls and Inspiration Point. We were running late though so we ran down. Fast.
Back in the car we drove to Old Faithful Geyser and the surrounding geysers as well.
We saw dogs, snakes, buffalo and a whole lot of tourists. It was a pretty amazing day.

Still at Cody, WY, Baby Steps to Boondocking
Storms in theCody, WY foothills are impressive! This one shook the RV to its tires. Burning with the learning. Tired batteries killed the water pump. Low amps will not allow the pressure switch to turn off. Also, had to turn the engine on to build up enough juice to pull the awning in out of the wind. Scary. But we are learning and getting ourselves prepared for a little more off grid camping.
Not sure if it is because of the storm, but this 2 minutes of video took almost 2 hours to load.
preserved Old West Mansion, Billings Montana
This video is of the Moss Mansion in Billings Montana. It's now a museum.
The mansion was built in 1903, it is 96% plus original and very well preserved. It's well worth the time if you're in town while they're offering tours.
