Windischeschenbach is a town in the district of Neustadt , in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated 14 km north of Weiden in der Oberpfalz. The German Continental Deep Drilling Programme, which reached a super-deep maximum depth of 9,101 meters, is located near Windischeschenbach.

The August Horch Museum Zwickau is an automobile museum in Zwickau, Saxony, Germany. Opened in 2004, it covers the history of automobile construction in Zwickau, the home of Horch and Audi prior to World War II, and Trabant during the Cold War-era German Democratic Republic.The museum is housed within the former factory where August Horch established Audi Automobilwerke GmbH in 1910. Its owner and operator is a non-profit making company owned in equal shares by Audi AG and the town of Zwickau.

Foodcamp Oberpfalz

At Foodcamp Oberpfalz around 25 Food Bloggers, -Journalists & -Enthusiasts met to learn about and celebrate Food culture from the region Oberpfalz, in the South of Germany.
We visited three Breweries, namely the Kommunenbrauhaus of the Zoigl-Braugemeinschaft at Windischeschenbach/Neuhaus, Riedenburger Brewery and Schneider Weisse.
The trip covered many more exciting stops, such as Kloster Plankstetten or at a Donau fisherman.

But the main events of a Foodcamp are the cooking sessions. Some participants visited the local markets and brought back a large variety of ingredients. The whole group then met in the evening to let the magic happen: groups of two or three people are formed, dishes are created spontaneously. The dishes are collectively arranged into an order and paired with local wines and beers.
For me it’s a big secret how these evenings work. 25 Food Maniacs together in a kitchen feels like a total creative chaos, but in the end 10 amazing courses are brought to the world and all are truly delicious!

Alle Jahre, am 3. Oktober haben die Zoiglstuben in Neuhaus an der Waldnaab bei Windischeschenbach (Oberpfalz, Nordbayern) offen. Hier gibt`s Zoigl, deftige Brotzeit und eine urgemütliche Atmosphäre!

Bei diesem Lauf lief ich knapp 70 km von Neuhaus an der Pegnitz über den Veldensteiner Forst bis zu mir nachhause in Forchheim. Dabei biwakierte ich für einige Stunden mit Biwaksack im Wald.
